Mostly dark with widely scattered light in the morning. lol (with thanks to George Carlin)

Honestly Jake, this is hardly newsworthy. It's been pretty obvious that Trump threw his support behind Moore several days ago.

For the record the bookies now have Moore as a solid favorite at -600. For you non gamblers that means to win a hundred bucks on Moore, you would have to risk six hundred.

1) Precisely because, as you said, it was obvious Trump supported Moore, this was unnecessary.  Unless Trump is so afraid Moore still might lose.
2) It will piss off McConnell and the rest of the Washington Republicans.
3) I think Trump is doing it to put his thumb in the eye of everyone who's been connecting Moore to Trump's own allegations and this will just raise those again.
4) It shows that Moore's refusal to back down from credible allegations has worked and Trump certainly wishes he'd just denied the allegations against him in the aftermath of the "Access Hollywood" video.  Except the Billy Bush, the only other person there with Trump just said,

He probably figure that ....guess what.... - people voted me President despite hearing me  on national media telling how I exploited women and how I fucked people over for ove thirty years.

Plus Moore would be another Congress vote.

He did it over phone after Roy Moore promised him a bunch of 17 year old southern blonde cheerleaders.    For Boko it is a good change from molesting young Muslim girls wearing hijab.

So when Billy Bush has to come out of hiding to confirm Trump lies.
You can understand why Trump is backing Roy Moore.
The both of them are scumbags!

Until there is an uproar from the left demanding his resignation, I see this as politics as usual with one side demanding the other side give up a crucial seat in the Senate while insisting that their guy keep his.

Moore is only an "accused" offender.  Franken is an "admitted" offender.  Not to mention "most" of what Moore is accused of isn't/wasn't even against the law to begin with.

I see evidence, but I don't see evidence of a crime.

He didn't force himself on her, he never even had sex with her at all. Where is the crime?

Here are her own words from your link

"He did not perpetrate sexual misconduct toward me, nor have I ever claimed that, but I now know sure that he is a liar,"

Ok, a politician is being accused of being a liar, in other news it's been alleged that "water is wet"

Obviously you are way too stupid to understand the difference between an accusation and something confirmed. You are definately one of those people who believe everything you hear or read.

Even though what Franken has been accused of is not quite as bad, I'll bet he ends up resigning, too.

In Franken's case, it's not what he has been "accused of", it's what he has "admitted to" that counts.

And I have no issue with Moore winning his election and then being forced out if any of the allegations, well if any of the allegations that rise to the level of sexual harassment/assault, are ever proven or admitted to.

But for the GOP to simply concede the seat, contrary to the wishes of the Alabama voters (toothless hayseeds that you might think they are) is simply not going to happen, nor should it. I guarantee you if Al Franken's resignation were going to mean the seat was going to go to a Republican, you libs would be fighting tooth and nail to prevent it. Why shouldn't the GOP be doing the exact same thing?

I said it was what he "admitted to" that counted. He could have another thousand accusers, but they wouldn't matter if those other accusers were proven to be lying.

What does count is what he has already "admitted to" Franken is an "admitted" sexual harasser/abuser. Moore is simply "accused" Is this concept really that hard for you to grasp?

In all honesty, as much as I have always disliked Al Franken, even I can't get all that worked up about what he did. I am sure over the coming months we are going to hear from thousands of women who were raped, fired, denied promotions and otherwise maligned by their abusers. A little groping really pales in the face of the very real abuse that many women/girls have gone through. I am certainly not trying to defend Al Franken, I am just trying to put some of this into perspective.

Yeah...and the dems are patron saints of grabassery.

Conyer just quit...but not because of his ass grabbing.......sure.

Al Frankenstein now has 5 women making claims against him.

Hillary went to bat for her sick perverted hubby as he sucked and fucked his way through politics, blasted his accusers and then when she wanted to be president she talk tough about women standing up and not being silent.

Yeah, them dems are sitting in chairs right next to God.

That said, I agree with your last paragraph about Franken.  It was obviously a prank, albeit a lame and tasteless one, which is why they PHOTOGRAPHED IT.  Most of the other incidents seem to be at public photo ops.  Kind of like what Bush, Sr. did.
That's very different from Conyers or the Moore event with a 14 year old.
