"The Marching Morons" ( 1951 ) Highly recommended reading.

Boris Karloff was one of my idols, btw. The film pictured below ( good movie too ) made in 1964, 24 years after the film you had depicted, was NOT a sequel.

& I thoroughly enjoyed the 1963 "The Raven".
( as I'm sure you're aware, Karloff appeared with Lugosi in a totally different 1935 version based on the Poe poem--good film. )

1957-76 was a goldmine for U.S. horror films------------my fave 3 during this period : "Rosemary's Baby"  "The Exorcist" & "Horror of Dracula" ( pictured below ).

This may sound like a non-sequitur, but John Galt is right--------interactive nature of TER boards certainly beats anything cable tv has to offer at present.

PERHAPS " Voodoo Woman " ( 1957 ) or "The Leech Woman".( 1960 ) If NOT a jungle setting, try the 1969 Peter Cushing film "Corruption". Go to imdb.com to check the plots of these films to see if they link up with your memories. FUCK----sounds familiar to me also.

From our pics, I see we're both fans of Japanese cinema ( funny that no films by Kurosawa or Ozu are depicted-----LOL ! )

Below is a dvd that I highly recommend to you---------it's the original 1954 Japanese version of Godzilla called "Gojira".  This film was acquired by the U.S. in '56, retitled to "Godzilla", had 20 minutes of footage edited out & new footage inserted with Raymond Burr as
reporter "Steve Martin".

The Japanese version is superior to the U.S. edition. "Gojira" is an allegorical figure meant to represent the horrors of the a-bomb. In the Japanese edition there are anti-nuclear sentiments ( referring to Hiroshima & Nagaski )that were, of course, edited out of U.S. version.

Mein, a dvd that you should defintely try to rent.
