I'm no fan of Whitman, or Brown for that matter, but Brown was the one who name-called. Brown citing Wilson doing the same thing doesn't justify what he did. It's the "you side does bad things too!" argument. It's childish. And without logic or reason. If I got upset with someone for calling me an asshole, would I be a hypocrite for not getting upset with everyone who has ever called anyone an asshole? That's not hypocrisy. That's reaching for straws when you've fucked up.

I actually agree with everything you say in this post. Moosie's bullshit detector only works where it comes to the GOP, he doens't seem to realize, or at least he doesn't seem to accept the fact that both sides do it, and it's bullshit when either side does it, not just when the GOP does it.
