You are the one who feels a need to come across as being fair and balanced in your "knocking both sides." How that applies to my present post, or any of my other posts, I'm not clear. I feel no such compunction to be fair and balanced, and how I post on an issues here, may or may not reflect how I ultimately vote in any particular election.

I posted something I found humorous, and it addressed both Republicans and Democrats, and not indicating in anyway a need for a pat on the back. You, however, made it quite clear that you were special because you are fair and balanced in "knocking both sides," hence appearing, to me, like you were looking for a pat on the back from someone. So, you can keep your illustration, since it's yours anyway.

But for your edification, I will admit that I nearly choked laughing recently when Rick Santorum claimed that abortion is why SS is in trouble. That isn't quite as bad as being afraid an island might capsize, but it comes damned close.

There, happy now? I am one of the least partisan on this board. Over the course of my participation here I have at various times endorsed Obama (well before many even knew who he was). In fact, if you go back far enough, you can find a post in which I mentioned that I got my lazy ass out of bed at 3 am in order to hop on a bus to go to Iowa to canvas for Obama ahead of the Iowa caucuses. Yes, I'm real partisan alright.

Additionally, go back far enough and you will find that I first supported Palin (again, before McCain had even selected her), then dramatically toned down my support for her. I still like Palin, but not for the reasons most would think, nor do I give much weight to the criticisms most level at her. I just don't think she has the polish or political savy to run an effective candidacy, nor anything close to sufficient foreign policy credentials to be trusted to handle the job of POTUS. I would overlook a lack of foreign policy experience if she surrounded herself with the best and brightest who could advise her well, but just like Obama, she doesn't.

Lastly, review posts I've made and you'll find plenty of posts in which I've criticized Bush's presidency harshly.

Shall we have a contest to see which of us can post the most links to previous posts we've made in which we argue the "other" side? I'll dredge up all my liberal leaning posts, and you see if you can scrape together some conservative leaning posts. I'll win on all of my pro-gay rights posts alone :)

the prize being a weak fool not hitting Obama with Rev Wright ''Goddamn America " right before  the Iowa primaries. I have said this before as Obama  would have lost the  white Christian vote  by them  being so turned off  and she took NH. After two big wins by Hillary blacks would have left him in droves in SC and Clyburn would have backed a winner.
No, if  she had done that move Hillary would have been President now  since MAC made the ignorant statement about the economy and made the idiotic decision of  picking Palin.

Oh ,and  Bill who said Obama could have gotten him coffee would have done it :)

That old knee-jerk reaction! You can't seem to help yourself, though I did get the humor. But, not being able to saying anything negative, or make fun of any politician because they are all the same gets old very fast. If everyone takes that approach, there would be no discussion regarding issues evolving government.
