More proof on Obama not being a real American

no true blue American would postpone the national past time, let alone the World Series, for his own personal gain.

The man is arrogant and out of touch , he is not an American. He is not part of our culture. He is a marxist, a communist , and an out of touch piece of

is indeed unamerican. We don't need no stinkin birth certificate, he's already proven he aint no 'merican.

I have to admit, I watched most of his infomercial and even though I know he's lying out of his socialist, wealth redistribuiting, ultra liberal ass, I have to admit the piece was well done. Slick Willy and Co would have been proud.

If I hadn't heard him come out against virtually everything he claims to be for today during the primaries WTF, I might have believed him myself. I do believe that anyone who has not follewed him and this race since the beginning might be persuaded to vote Obama because of this slick, but inaccurate infomercial. It shows, you can buy the presidency if you know where to shop. Kudos to Hollywood, this will probably be the new norm in buying, excuse me I meant in campaigning for office.

Give me a break.  Sounds to me like YOU are out of touch...with priorities.

He is part of my culture- I love the USA and it's obvious, so does he.

CBS - Yes
NBC = Yes
FOX - Yes
BET - Yes
Univision - Yes

ABC - No. They thought they could make more money "Pushing Daisies".

CNN - NO

MSNBC - They apparently did it for FREE, LOL. No surprise there.

I guess ABC and CNN don't love the country?

Timbow1861 reads

Where did you see MSNBC did it for free ?
I know you just joke :)

RightwingUnderground1499 reads

the implication in their discussion was that they simply aired it on both channels.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was indeed true.

I find it interesting that a post claiming he is not an American because he is campaigning:

doesn't cause alarm

My intent to call attention to what should and should not be a priority:

does cause alarm

Personally, I think that the rich (aka Republican powers-that-be) are pissed because they can't bilk the ignorant Midwest into carrying the election for them.  OMG- you mean we have to spend OUR money?  OH NO!!

Obama built a better mouse trap, do you want a cookie?

If Obama wins it will be because of the economy not the infomercial  :)

My information directly related to your concerns. I pointed out which media outlets agreed with you (albeit for a profit) and those that didn't agree with you (albeit not in lieu of a game)

And I never mentioned BHO’s Americanism.

Did you READ the original post?  The poster of this thread didn't talk about the networks or who took "his" money...he called Barack "unAmerican".  This is exactly the sort of divisive thought that is NOT needed in the US.  Because someone disagrees with you does NOT mean that they aren't an American.

That is what this thread WAS about.  Geesh.

For the record:  I totally respect CNN specifically for not running the commercial.  They truly are the "best".

when your title stated 'The future of America vs. A Game. I realize what the body of your post stated. According to your argument now, your title had nothing or little to do with the body of your post?

Still, my response to your post as I stated above was a response to your strong implication that watching or allowing BHO to speak was more important than a baseball game. I merely pointed out at least TWO ENTIRE news outlets that disagreed with you, but not for reasons relating to their 'Americanism'.

p.s. Do you respect ABC for not running the commercial? You insertion of the word specifically implies that you do not.

People constantly use this word in an inappropriate manner...ignorant doesn't mean stupid or "bad".  It's simply not having the education/knowledge to know better.

If our education system was better perhaps that would change.

I love the Midwest, I was born there and still have family there but the reality is…the politics and exposure level of that area of our country is very limited.  If you deny that, you are simply not being honest.  There are individuals who hail from that area that do support Obama but ALL of them would agree with my assessment.  It isn’t anyone’s fault, it is what it is.  You can’t expect people to understand what they have never been exposed to.

I spent last week canvassing in PA and have fielded enormous amounts of questions from friends and family “back home”.  The Republican machine is in full swing trying to scare the Midwest into voting for McCain.  They aren’t talking about what they will DO for the country, they talk about what they represent and what they represent is white.  I am a realist and probably a little more honest than I should be, but I call it like I see it.  When I see McCain supporters running from me while I’m canvassing for Obama and handing out inflammatory, blatantly false literature I realize one thing:  it is an attempt to pander to the basic fears of people who don’t know any better.

If you disagree with Barack on a moral level (i.e.- abortion), I can’t argue with that….but I suspect that only about 20% of McCain’s supporters fall into that category.  The rest are simply afraid and unaware.

that their public school system has ranked #1 for a long time. They lost it for a while but just recently regained it. Instead, I ran across this. I don't realy know this site's reputation.

Anyway, acording to this first hit on google (for whatever that's worth), of the top 15 'smartest states' a full ONE-THIRD are from the midwest (Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska,Minnesota, Kansas). Nine were east coast (sorry New York didn't make it). and one was a western state. Zero west coast states.

p.s. 3 of 5 of the midwest 'winners' went for Bush in 2004.

It is easy to see why the states you mentioned report higher numbers than the coasts: it deals only with K-12.  Those states have less students and therefore more money, teachers and time to devote to the individual student forcing the averages to be higher.  Big cities/coasts have many more students and therefore less of everything to go around (per public school student), and more negative numbers pulling down the averages.

It makes more sense to look at the cities with higher education levels:

The most educated cities in American according to US Census Bureau
http://encarta.msn.com/encnet/departments/elearning/?article=educatedcities

1. Seattle, WA (Obama)

2. San Francisco, CA (Obama)

3. Raleigh, NC (Obama)

4. Washington, DC (Obama)

5. Austin, TX (McCain)

6. Minneapolis, MN (Obama)

7. Atlanta, GA (McCain)

8. Boston, MA (Obama)

9. San Diego, CA (Obama)

10. Lexington-Fayette, KY (McCain)

11. Denver, CO (Obama)

12. Charlotte, NC (Obama)

13. Portland, OR (Obama)

14. St. Paul, MN (Obama)

15. San Jose, CA (Obama)

16. Colorado Springs, CO (Obama)

17. Honolulu, HI (Obama)

18. Oakland, CA (Obama)

19. Pittsburgh, PA (Obama)

20. New York, NY (Obama)

That is pretty telling in my mind only 3 out of the 20 are in states supporting McCain...I wish I could find data for the individual cities because I'd guess the 3 lean Obama.  85% Obama support is hard to ignore.

Maybe from wherever you come from they are ignorant, but the people I know are not. Blanket statements like that show ignorance on your behalf.

And how about FOX, of all networks, taking the money, probably calculating that it might improve the ratings for Game 7 of the World Series. I wouldn't doubt if that's true.

The two-year campaign has left its mark on our culture; politics and sports mix. I doubt things are going the same.

I boycotted major League baseball when they continue to refuse to participate in the Olympics.
Whens the next game of the World Series??

that taking cheating and taking illegal performance enhancing drugs is as American as apple pie.

yeah yeah, they fixed that.  bullshit, and if so, how long ago?

Screw major league baseball.  Never liked major league anyway, the stars have been little different than the pumped up characters in pro wrestling until recently.

Give me a little league, high school, college, or American legion baseball game any day over major league baseball.

Truth hurts, doesn't it?

convention speech forced the NFL to re-schedule the start time of its season opening game and everyone knows that football, not baseball, is America's game.  That McCain is arrogant and out of touch, he is not a true American, not part of our culture, just a Marxist, communist, out of touch piece of shit.
