Pinhead: Parents of pregnant teenager

Not Sarah Palin, she's ok because she's a Republican.

I admit I have a Double Standard.

The pinheads are the parents of Jamie Lynn Spears:
"On the pinhead front, 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant. The sister of Britney says she is shocked. I bet.

Now most teens are pinheads in some ways. But here the blame falls primarily on the parents of the girl, who obviously have little control over her or even over Britney Spears. Look at the way she behaves.

And by the way, the mother, Lynne Spears, has reportedly already sold pictures of the upcoming baby of her 16-year-old for a million bucks. Incredible pinhead.

The difference is...one of Jamie Lynn's parents admitted that their daughter is out of control. That's why their a pinhead.

As usual, Jon Stewart has the best perspective on this issue and lets O'Reilly and other self-righteous Republicans choke on their own words:

but you have to admit he has got to be the funniest of the late night crowd. He manages to be a lefty without falling into the same trap that Bill Maher has fallen into. Bill Maher spews so much hate he is no longer funny.

Jon Stewart manages to have Republican guests on his show that he plainly disagrees with on many issues, guests like Newt Gingrich and John McCain on over a dozen occasions without attempting to shout them down or bully them despite his rabid left wing audience. I enjoy his show and watch it regularly, unlike Bill Maher's show which I have refused to watch for over a year now.

Certainly O’Reilly and others have been a bit hypocritical and it’s also fair to judge the Palin’s parental skills. But as a parent you’ll not find me among them.

At the same time, while I usually find Stewart’s sarcasm and wit funny and thought provoking, his editing job here was also a bit unfair as he intentionally obscured the context.

Bottom line, for anyone to compare the Palin’s parenting skills to the Spears’ as somehow being even remotely close is ludicrous. The full criticism of the Spears’ parenting goes far beyond a teen pregnancy, which is where O'Reilly was at in the Spears criticism.
