Judge Chutkan's order denying presidential immunity in Trump January 6th case has been vacated after a Supreme Court ruling -- so ruled the appeals court.

The Supreme Court ruling is not news. What is news is that the case has now been returned to Judge Chutkan's court. She now has the job to apply the Supreme Court's ruling to the case. More specifically, she will need to decide if his actions were "official acts" or private conduct that can be prosecuted.

The Court of Appeals did not "so rule."  The Supreme Court announced their ruling on Trump's immunity on July 1 but the Court's rules require 30 days before the decision is returned to the lower court.  That's why it was announced yesterday.

After the Supreme Court sent its decision to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, that court IMMEDIATELY sent it back down to Chutkan’s court without comment.
