Nether Obama or Congress approved the bump stock.  It was presented to the ATF as a design of an assistive device for people with limited use of their hands.  There was no prototype or demonstration of what the devise actually did.  Obviously the manufacturer, Slide Fire, duped the ATF, but there was never any approval by or submission of the design to Obama personally  or to any branch of congress.

Incidentally, no serious responsible gun owner would ever put one of these things on their guns because the device very quickly destroys the weapon and makes it useless for any kind of serious marksmanship.  It’s really only made for the moronic gun nut crowd.

Just so the un-initiated will know how the bump stop quickly ruins the weapon: the rapid fire creates so much heat in the barrel it ruins it.  So you can only fire it in short bursts, which, of course, defeats the purpose of the device. Many Army machine  guns come with replacement barrels for when the original barrel gets too hot or is worn out.

I'm as pro gun as pro gun gets however that loser couldn't have shot 500 people with a bolt action rifle , handgun or shotgun . And thanks to Hollywood and his criminal genes he was able to sit in that tower in the past few years , see that concert and think to himself " if I was a terrorist I'd ... "  

Go to a weapons museum and take a long look at weapons anyone could own dating back to mid evil times. All designed to inflict the harshest results . It's only now , post Nazi Germany , that we have JEWS in America trying to tell us what we can and cannot own . " Never Again "
