the stock market moving up on the news that Japan wants a trade deal with the US.  Lefties are so impatient.  The tariffs are not only about tariffs, but it's also a negotiating tool and Trump is a proven master negotiator.  He's been using these skills for himself his whole life and now he's using them for the American people.  Biden's strategy of doing nothing regarding trade was a disaster.  Trump has other countries lining up to make a deal that lowers the proposed tariffs, but not as low as before.   This strategy is called giving away something you never had in the first place to get an advantage.  Pay attention and watch Trump do his magic.  The stock market will right itself as the deals are signed.  The only people hurt in the recent decline are the day-traders and short-term investors.  The 401K "losses" are not losses unless you cash out.  You still own the same number of shares as before it went down.
