He just signed his Terror Prosecution bill into law. Military tribunals, limited rights. Of course the Dems hate it but couldn't do much more than piss and cry W/ out offering an alternative.
I read an article shortly after Bush's re-election that predicted a disasterous second term. The argument being that since LBJ every re-elected president has had a horrible 2nd term. This is true for Bush as well as far as poll numbers, etc. But from tax cuts, to the Supreme Court, to the War on Terror the Dems have been nothing but an inconvenient speedbump at best in stopping Bush and his agenda.
I addressed Bush successfully putting through his agenda. Before Clinton lost Congress he couldn't get through healthcare or gay in the military. Those were his two biggest campaign issues and he had Democrat majorities but it was still easier said than done. Being able to push your agenda through is a huge part of politics. What are you talking about?

Another attempt to rewrite history. Gays in the military was a complete non-issue in the 1992 Presidential campaign. Does "it's the economy, stupid" ring a bell? It was all about economic recovery in 1992 and the public blamed G.H.W. Bush for the recession.
