A U.S. judge put on hold the Justice Department’s move to drop charges against Michael Flynn

Probably trying to find a reason to justify not dropping the case. If the case is dropped it will make the FISA court look bad. He does play fair, he has ruled against the justice department when they had bad behavior on previous cases.

Fed Rules of Court Procedure 48(a) pretty much force judges to follow prosecutor recommendations on dropping cases.  And yes, case law includes convictions and guilty pleas.  Even if judge refuses, almost surely will be reversed on appeal.

If Sullivan ignores precedent on this ruling, he’s setting himself up to be overturned on appeal.

is exactly the reason he SHOULD be letting the dismissal proceed.  Otherwise, it looks like he's in league with the corrupt FBI and DOJ attorneys at lied to the FISA court to get warrants.

...you fucking idiot, it's the Federal Rules of CRIMINAL Procedure, not the Federal Rules of COURT Procedure.  More importantly, 48 (a) does NOT "pretty much force judges to follow prosecutor recommendations on dropping cases" as you said.  48 (a) simply states: The government may, with leave of court, dismiss an indictment, information, or complaint."

Lester, you fucking simpleton, all the rule says is that the government MAY dismiss the case but they have to have "leave of court" to do so.  You're so fucking stupid that you probably think all the government has to do is "leave the court" and the case will be dismissed.  No, you fucking jackass, it means the court has to give its PERMISSION to dismiss the case.
Nowhere does it say the judge is forced to follow prosecutor recommendations on dropping cases.

The only "dropping" is the fact that your mother dropped you on your head when you were a baby.  That accounts for your retarded fucking posts.
