The assumption that if they support Palestine they hate Jews is simply not true. There are Jews that support Palestine. This is more about the war between Israel and Palestine. Israel naturally is aligned with many Jews, but not all. In fact, even some who live in Israel don’t agree with everything they do. The idea is that all innocent lives, regardless of side, matter. The war between the two is terrible. Neither is 100% in the right. And neither is 100% in the wrong.
The self- loathing Jew is more than a stereotype. Even Alan Dershowitz gripes about it.
Many of us support the State of Israel, its right to exist and its right to self defense. But that doesn't mean we support the present government of Israel and the way it's conducting the war in Gaza.
We also support a two-state solution to the Palestinian issue as well as have dismay at the human price of Israeli tactics in Gaza. At the same time, we hate Hamas and believe it must be eliminated from rule in Gaza.
All these things can be true at the same time if your mind understands the subtleties. Sadly, many Americans don't get it.

I think the fact that Israel has given fair warning to Palastinians that non-belligerents should evacuate Gaza until it has been cleansed of the Hamas rulers as you want shows they are being humane in their approach to the problem.
And the Netanyahu government has been doing everything it can to make it impossible But it's a gross oversimplification to say no Palestinians believe Israel has a right to exist. And some of the most important Arab countries support the idea. Besides, what's the alternative? War everlasting?
As for the Israeli approach being "humane," the number of civilian casualties put the lie to that. And I blame Hamas even more than Israel because they are using the civilian population of Gaza as human shields and are the ones primarily responsible. But the Israelis must share the blame as well.
just because Hamas is using their own people as human shields, does that mean Israel should just walk away and leave Hamas in charge of Gaza? That doesn't solve anything. There will always be civilian casualties in wars. It happened in both world wars, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and will continue in future wars. It's called collateral damage, and as long as Israel is taking reasonable and ordinary care to avoid such damage as much as possible, the fact that there will still be SOME civilians die is unavoidable if the greater good is to be served for posterity.
Who said "Israel should just walk away?" Not me. And SOME collateral damage IS inevitable. But not to the extent that's happened. Because instead of using precision munitions Israel used 2,000 lb dumb bombs. There's no excuse for that.
PS: The collateral damage in WWII was massive and, most historians agree, was unnecessary. And, mind you, I have been strongly in favor of the use of atom bombs against Japan.
