across the pond, there exists an Israel First group named UK LAWYERS FOR ISRAEL.
They have taken issue with recent reports by the long-established UK medical publication, THE LANCET, pertaining to the unfortunate turn of events in Gaza. You see, THE LANCET had the temerity to publish some research which estimated that the IDF self-defense efforts in Gaza has resulted in 186,000 deaths and a decrease in Gaza Palestinians. THE LANCET estimates that life expectancy in Gaza decreased by 34.9 years during the conflict’s first 12 months. Now, that's a lot of Foregone Life IF the estimates by THE LANCET are accurate.
Jonathan Turner, the Executive Director of the aforementioned group, asserted that the Lancet research “ignored factors that may increase average life expectancy in Gaza, bearing in mind that one of the biggest health issues in Gaza prior to the current war was obesity.” [Well, at least in the USA, obesity correlates tightly with poverty, and one thing is certain - the Gaza Palestinians are as poor as shit. But of course, Bibi Land bears no responsibility for that turn of events.]
Gee, how thoughtful of Bibi & Company. Helping Gaza Palestinian whales and blimps and disgusting fat slobs to slim down. Like it or not! After all, it's all for their own good!
The Gazans they don't kill they make healthier. WHY can those miserable Gaza Palestinians not see the wisdom and beneficence of this oh-so-enlightened Zionist public health initiative. Once again, we see why and how Israel is the, wait for it ... Light Unto The Nations? Yeah, you just can't make this stuff up.
Just stop attacking Israel.
The old saw: Brevity is the soul of wit.
Apparently not always, and certainly not in your little rejoinder.
I really expected more and better from you - volume-wise at least, but not necessarily in the incisiveness of your response.
With his racism and you’re hatred of Jews, you could make quite the power couple.
But in these recent posts I see only that he hates Bibi and his government as well as the Gaza campaign. So how is it that this Jew hates Bibi and his government as well. I also don't hate the Gaza's or blame ALL of them for the massacre. Most Gazans hate Hamas and recently protested against it.
The most you can blame Gazans for is letting Hamas take over Gaza and remain in power without any elections in nearly 20 years. That does not mean they deserve what has happened (and continues to happen) to them.
Bibi is trying to make the two-state solution impossible. And if he succeeds that's a formula for war everlasting.
That can't be good for Israel, the Gazans or anyone else.
Robert spouts “racist” and “anti-Semite” so frequently, those words coming from him have little meaning at all.
I have stated such on numerous occasions. But when one ONLY blames one side, as our resident Jew hater's OP demonstrates time after time, than I am left with no other option than to think he is not just anti-Bibi, which I certainly am, but he is pro-Hamas.
.
As you point out, Gazans are not entirely innocent. Many of them are loyal to Hamas and provide aid and comfort to them. They voted the terror group in, as you well know, and polls showed a majority of them favored the attacks on 10/7 so you saying "most Gazans hate Hamas" is pure conjecture on your part. Some do, some dont. It's a mixed bag. Sadly.
.
Btw CKS sucking up to you just shows how weak and feeble he is as well. His feelings are all hurt bc I pointed out his WK for racism. Too bad. Cry me a river.
And obviously Republicanophobic. And Christianphobic too.
Conclusively a hate filled man.
Well, while he definitely is totally in the bag for Israel, perhaps he may not be Islamophobic? Perhaps he just plays one in this forum?
But seriously, folks. I have been called an antisemite, for decades, by virtue of my adverse opinion of Israel and the policies of US support of Israel.
So, I'll be content with thinking of our amigo Roberto as totally, deeply and wholly an incurable Israelophile, whose deep commitments to his [sketchy] cause gets the better of whatever better angels his nature may possess, Hence, the metronomic deployment of the R-word and other such epithets. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
As for whatever anti-Christian biases he may or may not possess and exhibit, I have yet to see any. But I haven't been looking too closely, or all that long.
But your generosity towards Robert is not something Robert practices himself. When he’s not busy making idiotic observations, he will call anyone any slur at the drop of a hat. He does this to avoid people noticing how dumb he is.
Well, Roberto's failings are his problems to work on. I've got my own shortcomings to try to deal with.
I'll continue to give him the benefit of the doubt, in the end his character is not important to me, any more than my character is important to him.
A long, long, long time ago, he was a liberal voice. And just as prolific as he is now.
From today's NY Times:
"One of the founders of Ben & Jerry’s, Ben Cohen, was arrested on Wednesday in Washington, D.C., after he interrupted a Senate committee hearing to protest Congress’s funding for Israel’s military as it wages war against Hamas in Gaza.
Mr. Cohen, 74, was among a group of protesters that disrupted a Senate health committee hearing as Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the health secretary, promoted President Trump’s budget for the next fiscal year.
The protesters shouted and held up signs as Mr. Kennedy was speaking before Capitol Police officers escorted them out, according to a broadcast of the hearing. A video posted by Mr. Cohen on social media showed him being detained by police officers, his hands behind his back.
“I said that Congress is paying to bomb poor kids in Gaza and paying for it by kicking poor kids off Medicaid in the U.S.,” Mr. Cohen can be heard saying in the video he posted. He also called on lawmakers to do more to get food into Gaza, where the United Nations and other aid agencies have said a famine is looming."
He is not alone. Virtually every Jew I know hates Bibi and his government. We just won't tolerate any "from the river to the sea" bullshit either. Sometimes there are actually shades of gray.
It's interesting that both Cohen and Carlson may be liberal and conservative, but they both seem to be in rock solid agreement about war. Cohen referenced General Smedley Butler and his important book War Is A Racket. This is why I often think the old labels of right and left don't really have a real meaning anymore. There's simply people who are in the pro-corruption camp and people who are opposed to it. I don't want a single damn dime of US taxpayer money going to foreign countries, and particularly not to the Palestinians or the Israelis.
