The U.S. House has passed the Laken Riley Act by a 251-170 vote.
Every single Republican voted to pass it and all 170 votes against it were Democrats..... ALL........170 votes against it were DemocratsALL........170 votes against it were Democrats

We will see how this all plays out but I think Joe will get a sizable bump from last nights speech. Trumps lead over Joe has really shrank (shrunk? Conan? lol) in the last 6 weeks so this may put Joe ahead. He is ahead in one poll now, but I dont place too much stock in one poll but the average of polls has Joe trailing by just 1.8 points as of this morning, down from 4.3 in late January.
It's going to be a crazy ride till November, thats for sure.

Republicans had the chance to do something about the border. They didn’t because it would be considered a bipartisan win for Biden, so trump told them not to. You’ve lost any and all right to complain about the border or illegals because the people you support had the chance to do something about it and they chose party over country.
Specificially in the legislation, what would have closed the border?
Republicans actually did something about the border when Trump enacted a number of executive orders back when he took office. Those EO’s were working. Then biden came along and rescinded all the EO’s that were working and keeping illegal immigration to a minimum. Why did biden rescind all the EO’s ?
He did it out of spite, among several other reasons, knowing full well rescinding Trumps EO's would not be beneficial to the United States. In fact all his reasons ( for rescinding Trumps EO's on the border and all other Trumps EO's for that matter)are extremely harmful to this country.
Therefore had biden left all Trumps EO’s in place the border bill would not be necessary. Also biden could also order the border patrol and all homeland security agencies to go back to enforcing all the laws already on the books which biden through mayorkas stopped all homeland security agencies from doing.
