“You can say again, ‘Merry Christmas,’ because Donald Trump is now the president,” he told Sean Hannity. “You can say it again, it’s OK to say, it’s not a pejorative word anymore.”
I never felt I couldn't say Merry Christmas, let alone feeling like there was a war on Christmas. Of course, if I knew someone was Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, etc. I wouldn't say it to them. That has nothing to do with being politically correct, any more than me not starting a conversation, in Spanish, with someone named Martinez. To make an assumption that he speaks Spanish can be taken as being very insulting. And, it's all in the delivery. If you say it to someone like you truly mean them well, they take it as such. However, many WASP's, like the thumpers you claim to hate for trying to shove their beliefs down your throat, deliver their greeting in the same manner.
P.S. I spend a lot of time on campus at USC and Cal Tech, and the businesses around them, where many of the students work, and I've not experienced this so called war on Christmas!
