You did not address even one of my points adequately, but continued on your, racist leaning rant.  Sorry, Jack, YOU can NOT see it, and that is probably why it won't change.  All you did was deflect and twist one isolated clip to claim you cared one shred about black on black crime.  Be honest, Jack, you don't, you could care less about it.  You have this notion it will allow you to divert attention from the core issue.  If you can not see that, then Jack, you are less open minded than I thought.

IT DOES NOT FALL IN THE SAME CATEGORY, JACK AS THE RACISM WE HAVE EXPERIENCED IN THIS COUNTRY.   RACISM IS CLEARLY MORE PERVASIVE AND DESERVES OUR SOLE FOCUS RIGHT NOW AND HAS FOR QUITE A WHILE.  WHY TRY TO DIVERT ATTENTION AWAY FROM THIS OPEN WOUND THAT NEEDS TO BE TREATED.

Please allow me to break down your conflation for you, Jack. Cooking recipes, and auto repair tips, are very useful for a cross section of any American audience.  Have never seen a cooking show share auto repair tips and vice versa.  Both helpful but totally unrelated.  And, Jack, you will NOT see me blame the conservative leaning owners of either media outlet, for NOT including cooking recipes with auto repair tips.

Black on black crime, ALL crime, actually is a travesty but NOT endemic of the blatant racial injustice, people of color have experienced for over 400 years.   Stop trying to divert attention away from focusing on and dealing with racism.

Nice cool morning, time for a family outing in Central Park.  May be back later.  Please enjoy your weekend.

The headline SHOULD read

"Idiot parent brings two year old to the site of a possible riot"

"CPS called to investigate child endangerment"

What kind of idiot brings a two year old the front lines of a possible riot?

The man and his child are  closer to the camera where the cop is out of focus further in background and really a lot more to the right aiming his gun far into the distance. The photographer is misleading as hell and anybody that knows anything about photography is laughing at the caption near to the child.

about logic and common sense, knows you never even remotely, put a child in danger like this.  Any number of things can go wrong.  Even Stevie Wonder could see that.

Not to mention the "weapon" pictured is not a "firearm" AND of course the misleading camera angle. You would think a bunch of mongers who look at fake pics wouldn't be fooled quite so easily, unless of course they "want" to be fooled because it goes along with their own preconceived narrative that "cops are bad"

Back to the much more important point, What parent in his right mind brings his two year old daughter to the scene of a riot?

As for whether or not the weapon should be drawn, that is impossible to know from just that picture.

GaGa, no matter, there is absolutely no reason for the officer's weapon to be "drawn."  Of course, we do not know the entire story, and we were NOT there.  BUT, I can see a number of reasons why to officer was in the wrong.

NOT common sense.  Know anything about police procedure.  If that guy is unarmed, first rule is proportionality.  Second rule is, if not in imminent or perceived imminent danger, never draw your weapon.  Third is, NEVER point a weapon anywhere near the vicinity of an innocent bystander (this child).  Better to err on the side of caution and restraing.

Any Joe blow, on the street would know as much.  After his superiors review this footage, you can bet 100% this cop will get a thorough "debriefing" of his actions.

of ALL the facts.  BUT, the weapon should have NEVER been drawn.  What did that officer think, this was a rodeo and he was going to shoot all the bottles out of the air.  There are other actions he could have resorted to, sorry.  His instincts were way off.

Maybe he is an honest cop, but a rookie who needs more training.   Or maybe he is one of the "bad" cops.  We will never know.

Its not a video, there is no sound, we don't know what is going on outside of the view of that pic, we dont know what the father did prior. what he was saying, etc etc etc

There are tons of info not in evidence so no clue how anyone could say the "draw" was bad, or good ,for that matter.

There’s a good, fairly in depth article in the Long Beach Post about this episode. It’s too lengthy to post here, but. I suggest that if anyone wants to have a better insight as to what went on, just look it up. It includes interviews from the photographer who took the picture.

...the part of the article where the photog tracked down the father and reported: "At one point during the whole interaction—not the 500th of a second that my shutter was open for—he did have a gun pointed at his face at one point during all this."

http://lbpost.com/news/police-point-gun-protester-child-long-beach-fake-real            --  That's not "too lengthy," eh Cenzo?

I guess he missed this. How convenient:

“The picture is real,” Grant said, but it doesn’t show exactly what many assumed it does. In the picture, the officer is not directly pointing his rubber-bullet launcher at the man."

See the word "NOT." Does BigPOS know the definition of "NOT."

Apparently NOT.

"Thug cop points his weapon NEAR 2 year old girl sitting on her father's shoulders..." (emphasis added)

To lying liar JackSquat, who knows jack squat about reading without moving his lips, the subject line reads:  "The officer is DIRECTLY pointing his rubber-bullet launcher AT the man."

Righties - the biggest fucking liars on the face of the Earth.

OK, I was too fucking lazy to provide a link; but I did recommend that everyone should read the entire article. I didn’t just provide snippets trying to emphasize one side of the story. Agree?

You mean like BigPOS just did?!?!?!

BLM would be so proud of him. I hope he asks for a raise.

If you watch the video in the link above, you will notice that the father in question moved closer to the police as they started to fire their rubber bullets. Aside from not bringing his young daughter, when people are firing weapons of any kind would not a responsible father:
1) take his daughter off his shoulders immediately and put her behind him to keep her from harm
and
2) follow that up by quickly move his daughter and him away from the people firing, with him between his daughter and the people firing?

That father is a fucking nut job! What an idiot! He does EXACTLY what you said. He starts walking TOWARD the police when they start shooting rubber bullets!

story, but one thing I can tell you for sure, after I viewed Papasan's link to the story.  That cop really needs to go on a diet.  Bet he could never come close to touching my 5 mile, time, even on a bicycle.

...he's had a desk job for the last ten years and was forced into going out into the streets with his gut and double chin.  He also looks like he was so rusty that he was panicking.  That's why he raised his weapon.

Her father should  be charged with child abuse!!!
