It's that very kind of character attack you just made on Democrats that inspired Jack to make the very posting you're responding to.  Making character attacks and using loaded words takes legitimate and healthy discussions and drags them into the gutter.

it wasn't aimed at a particular board member, and it has a historical basis in fact.

Also, you have to work with the medium.  I push the limits of length.  You really can't expect people to read too much here.

THE ONLY GOOD this place can do is attract traffic to the main boards - although it was designed to isolate the main boards from the natural hostility of politics that disturbs the ladies.  

Given those goals, it's probably more important to be funny than anything else.   They made BenD the moderator because funny-looking was next best, LOL!!

all of that is obvious common sense, and anybody that needs to be told, isn't listening.

Remember, the reason for Politics was to isolate the collateral ideological arguments that kept popping up.   So it's really like trying to keep a lid on a boiling kettle.

So I dunno, it depends on how seriously you take this.   It's probably best as a place for the nuts to vent - someplace they can come and rant without a fucking lawyer looking over their shoulder and telling them they should make a lick of sense.  

I mean, come on, this is the hobby politics forum.  If anything serious (like COYOTE or 1st amendment) comes out of the hobby, it won't start here.  Not ready for prime time in this lifetime, ya know?

mostly because you have to distinguish among what you  are PERSONALLY COMPETENT TO TESTIFY TO; and what is REASONABLE HEARSAY, and what is your OPINION or CONCLUSION; and what is a FUCKING JOKE, and what is TOTAL USELESS BULLSHIT.
