In Pt1 he made you cry with his tales of how much he cared, much like the first balack president thinking back to seeing his first church burning in Arkansas....

For pt 2.....

Look like former abulance chaser, turned Presidential hopeful who brought us  "Tale Of 2 Americas" has decided which of the 2 different Americas he wanted to be part of since he can't beconme VP. In otherwords, If I can't run the place, fuck you guys!!!!!!!

LOL, what a fucking fraud!!!!

But wait, we may hear from him again. Which of the 2 americas will he be beholden to then?????? Hmmmmm?

The 2004 Democratic candidate for Vice-President joins Fortress Investment Group, where he will serve as a part-time global dealmaker...

You could talk about 2 Americas, and know that situation has to be alleviated, but only the insane or the saintly would willfully join the ranks of the lower tier.  Don't you agree?  I already know Edwards isn't among the saintly.  Like most politicians, he wouldn't want the loss of power that entails.  If he does that, he might fall completely beneath the radar and never get back into politics.

By your logic, if one talks about the plight of Darfur, the fact that they don't want to join the refugees would make them hypocritical.

Ambulance chaser: many of those attorneys do essential work.  You shouldn't lump them into the same category like that-- at least not without consulting some of Edwards previous clients, at least.

There should be some reform and limit on the revolving door, but as far as I could tell so far, Edwards isn't nearly the most egregious, greediest, nor so far, the most exploitive of this.  He'd have to go much further.  An out of work politician has to do something between jobs.  One may go to work at McDonalds and live on the proceeds one made while he was a trial lawyer, but the kids still have to go to college.

The most interesting part is at the bottom, that this firm overwhelmingly supported Democrats.  Is it owned in part by George Soros?

big splashes about poverty and "2 Americas" and want to ride that into the White House, IOW, "allevaiting poverty is some kind of work of the heart so elect me, I'm already rich) that you would see him following up with that by doing something about it REGARDLESS of whether or not he won the Presidency.

This guy loses and runs off to help the rich (and himself)get richer....Hey, i don't blame the guy for making money, even a lot of it. but then I don't go running around igniting class warfare.

...who has since demonstrated very well his concern for the poor.

BTW, I wouldn't say what Edwards did was ignite "class warfare."  No.  Not even close to it.  Class warfare is more like what the peasants did during the French Revolution.  Where they stormed the Lords estates and murdered them.

No, Bill.  I realize it's politically incorrect to say things like Edwards did.  The longer it is not said for sparking "class warfare," the more likely  real class warfare will becomes.  The interests of the wealthy will always be different from the interests of... the rest.  As the wealthier get wealthier, the tension is only going to grow.

funny, i was just thinking about carter as a means of demonstrating my point. i don't much agree with what he says sometimes but the dude walks the talk. i can atleast give him that, even some of these looney actor types, at least they DO SOMETHING in furthurance of the rhetoric

if we're gonnna go back to the F/R, then yeah, that's class warfare! However, pols like Edwards IMO, do more to excaerbate the situation than alleviate it.

the biggest problem many poor face is their own frame of mind of being the victim. Dems exploit that for their own gain.

I don't know if "victim" would actually describe the frustration.  If it weren't noticed by people in our political system, it would be like ignoring the bear in the middle of tent.

Moreover, even if what you say is the least bit true, he has worked hard to gain those good graces of other people.

He's like Herbert Hoover, really, if you study that man:  a success at everything except the presidency.

And God also szid that Jimmy can build all the houses he want's for the down-troden, but He's still not impressed...

God also said that Jimmy didn't listen to him when he was prez, and thumbed aimlessly through his king-size-King-James Bible, never gaining any wisdom while he read the Scriptures in search of obscure passages to trist into support of his foolish self-important scemes  and plans for the Middle east... Much of TODAY'S TROUBLE in that regin come from Jimmy's hatred for Jews and his prideful insistance to establish "peace" by balancing Arab/Muslim powers, and paying t em all that bribe-money every year...

**Hey zinaval, would you like me to a k God anything else while I've got him on the line?? Make it quick, this is a collect call!

Bill: You are not only hypcrite, it seems that you are blind too...
**************** From the article **************
"USEFUL EXPERIENCE.  Edwards joins a growing line of policymakers turned dealmakers. Former Veep Dan Quayle has been sealing deals around the world for hedge fund group Cerberus Capital Management ever since he dropped out of the 2000 Presidential race.

Ex-New York Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani has set up his own investment banking advisory firm -- Giuliani Capital Advisors. He also chairs the board of advisors to Leeds Weld & Co., where former Massachusetts Governor William Weld was a principal until recently. Weld has reduced his role to a senior advisor while considering a run for New York governor.

Edwards was a highly successful trial lawyer in the Tarheel State before going into politics. But his experience in Washington should serve him well as a global financial adviser. He was on the Senate Intelligence Committee in Congress and boned up on global economics during the 2004 Presidential campaign for a nationally televised debate with Cheney. Edwards now serves as a co-chair of a Council on Foreign Relations task force on U.S.-Russia relations."

Apparently, you did not see the name of stupid Quayle and Giulani...or obviously you can not read and understand complex sentences...

All you say is probably true, but Carter is still a pompous ass. I personally think God cares more about what one does when people are NOT watching.

BILL's philosophy. The only one who should help the poor is the poor. Everyone else who tries to help anyone other than the very rich is a hypocrite. That is the mechanism he uses to rationalize his own soulless, greedy existence.

...in the Navy comes out a know-it-all.  Period.  Having been there I know this.  It's exactly what the rest of the Navy thinks of them too, and it's exactly what people working with Carter thought of him.  I chalk it up to PMSD (Post Mental Stress Disorder).  It's not an official mental illness, yet... :)

Carter went through that and served in the Navy as an officer.  Moreover, he went on to get a Masters' in Nuclear Physics.

You talk about under-employment, he then went on to become a peanut farmer and then a politician.
Talk about a waste of education...
