How nice of Queen Teresa to stop her limousine & enlighten us what real jobs are all about this past week in USA Today. For those who only get their news from Dan Rather or Carson Daly, she said that Laura Bush has held no real job of value--her 9 years of school teaching & as a housewife raising a family were apparently irrelevant to her own worldly importance as a socialite.
Of course, the next day, her minions issued a statement of apology, but the Tiara Highness refused to say it publicly herself.
To which I say, you go girl! Keep it up, Ms Righteous First Lady wannabe. That chin boogie drivel of yours is creating a stealth wave in the coming voter turnout. Even hubby spends more time in the debate talking about his mother & Mary Cheney than he does about you (quite telling), and the nuance of these dynamics are not lost on an electorate that knows what the smell test is all about. It's like the esteemed Bill Clinton said of him & Hillary--today's candidates are a package deal for voters.
Too bad for kerry his package was shipped from Spencer's Gag Gifts.
Saw that, her apology was that she "forgot" about her decade of teaching kids. Um, what is that odor that I smell.... oh, that's what it is - it's Bullshit. Come one - no reasonable person is going to buy that she simply 'forgot'. She dosen't know what the hell she's talking about. Now I don't think that family members should be fodder for the campaign trail, but when they themselves open themselves up for ridicule such as the two for one 'bargin' that Clinton spoke of - all's fair game.
Oh, I find it extremely entertaining that when Kerry talks of raising taxes on those who have income over 200k, what does he think most small businesses will do to cover such a cost? I mean, really - he (Kerry) spends more than 200k a year snowboarding & windsurfing - he's out of touch with the common man.
Try to keep up with the rest of us. She was a working stiff when she met and married Senator Heinz. It's his bread, not hers- she just takes care of it. And does a great job by all accounts, giving aways tons of cash all the time to a lot of worthy causes.
When you have that much cash, taking care of it can be a full time job. I would wager that more than a few of the denizens here are stock brokers whose primary job is trading their own families account!
About half the brokers I have met who are successful do this or got their start doing it!
Not offering a defense, but if you read her full quote you would see where she was asked to compare herself to Mrs. Bush. Best not to take the bait. But, her response actually complimented Mrs. Bush (I can't remember on what) and went on to say that they both had equally significant, although different experiences. Her comment--although not entirely accurate--was not intended to be a slam. Also, Teresa has had other jobs beyond the foundation job (I can't recall what).
