Did anyone see the celebrations . . . .

in NYC after the Knicks won? The rioters burned police cars and busses, numerous fights broke out, and 60 rioters were arrested.  At the same time, Carolina won the Stanley Cup and people celebrated in an orderly manner with no destruction of public or private property and no arrests.  They should just put a wall around NYC like they did in the movie, "Escape from New York" and turn it into a max security prison.

Ever been to Philly? The riots there after the Eagles won the Super Bowl in 2025 were worse. Not to mention the riots in LA after the Doyers beat the Yankees. Sports riots go back to ancient Roman times. You could look it up.
But you never will.

So.... you are OK with riots????    I am not OK with it at all.   It is bullshit and "fans" who use it as an excuse to riot are IDIOTS.

 
But it should show you fan bases and how they react.   This isn't about "race" at all.    Philly fans are IDIOTS.... LA Dodgers and around that stadium you beat up if you were the wrong "hats" to games.   Yeah not just the opposing team hats.... literally gang colors type shit.    NY just showed its colors.   KC, LA Rams, Philly and even in SEA after Superbowl wins there was riots...   Then you got NC.....there wasn't anything.      Or when NE Patriots were winning Superbowl's.   It is fan bases thinking they can get away with things.

 
If you want to talk about other things with tradition in sports......   No handshakes after the NBA Finals game to congratulate the winners.     This is a "hot" topic.     I understand or can see both sides to the story.  

 
1. The sportsmanship of it.
2. Let the team celebrate right after the win and just get out of the way of that celebration.

 
But again this goes to "tradition" of each respective sport.   Look at Hockey and how they sit and wait for the celebration 5-10 mins or longer to go shake hands after that final game.   Many times they take a knee.  you know the other team wants to get the fuck off the ice.   But they don't.    Hell football players go and search each other out after the Superbowl games to give congrats and what not.    

 
But like I stated..... I understand wanting to get off the court and let the other team have their moment.

the NBA or NHL playoffs.  I was comparing the two teams that were.  That was this past WEEK, not last year.  If you want to talk about last year, why not start another thread?  YOU can call it "Sports Riots of 2025.".  Or, you could talk about each year going back to the Romans.  

 
Otherwise, nice deflection attempt.  You said my post was fact-deficient, but you did not say what facts I left out or got wrong.  We have had car-burning in LA when the Lakers won in the past, but I did not mention it because 1) my post was about last week, and 2) Downtown LA is also a shithole now like NYC, so it is expected here also.

I don't know when the last time you were in NY but it's FAR from being a shit hole. But by all means, please stay away.
PS: If New York is so despicable how come no one rioted when Trump showed up to curse the Knicks to their only Finals loss? They just booed him. According to google:
"No one rioted or was arrested for rioting at the arena when President Trump attended Game 3 of the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden. Instead, crowds loudly booed him when he was shown on the jumbotron, and some fans later protested outside the barricades."

Might be because of extra SECURITY that was present.   You know....facts.   ALSO that it wasn't the "victory win" that happened.   It was a loss.    Typically people don't riot after losses.
