Awe, how nice. Isn't that nice of him? Well no problem then, c'mon in, brutha! As long as he promises to stick to the "no torture" thing at least while he in there...(unless of coarse he slips up and falls off the wagon)...

The Dems are all poised to battle the SECOND major hispanic nomination (Hispanics are now the largest minority group) by showing how EVIL our service men are and siding with the captured terrorists from IRAQ.

And Pelosi thinks they have the pulse of the nation and just can't get their message out. The problem the left is having is that their message IS GETTING OUT

ROTFLMAO!!!!

... How about saying

1. the dems are all poised to battle the first person who made (among other things) the claim that the preisdent can unilaterally negate treaties,

2.  the dems are all poised to battle the first person who made the claim that it is OK to ignore the Geneva Convention if the people involved are "terrorists", or

3.  the dems are all poised to battle the first person who made these claims and had them soundly rejected by a conservative Supreme Court.

Judge?  Lawyer?  Wise Advisor?  White House Council?  Sounds like you think that Hispanics are so needy and ignorant that they can't recognize a what a toady this man is.

Of course he will be confirmed anyway.  In the confirmation, the dems will get their message out.  The confirmation will cost Mr Bush more of his "political capital" than he expects.

and with that, just keep pondering why you keep getting your asses handed to you in the elections, perhaps some day you guys might be able to connect the dots.

And the last election actually went to Al Gore in the popular vote and Bush won Florida by only a few hundred votes. You guys  barely won in the last two general elections and Clinton won the previous two. I will give you the fact that Bush did have the most votes of any president in history, but guess who received the second most votes in history? That's right, John Kerry! So what you talkin' 'bout with this "ass handed to you" stuff? This is like an NBA game that was won by a lucky shot at the buzzer -- it could easily have swung either way.

you might have a point. With elections, you win or lose, sorry.

BTW, I see you left out the fact that Bush picked up seats in the House and Senate, which goes against the traditional trend, showing an ever change move to the right.

BYW, how is the Democratic minority leader in the Senate doing, OH YEAH, he lost too...

You need to look beyond the POTUS race, there are three branches of government.

And many of those house and senate races were close too. Not to mention the jury rigging of districts in Texas that added seats for the Republicans too.

You can puff up, pound your chest, call it an ass-kicking all you want -- we don't care because it does not change the fact that 1/2 the country still disagrees with you and we are not going away.

and even Massachusetts has a Republican Governor!  The Country is moving to the right, get over it!

not by the people though.

The right won because they made gay marriage an issue and got the Christian right out to vote (which also voted for all the senate and house seats). They won through appealing to peoples ignorance, bigotry and greed -- not because they are doing such a great job.

And, no I am not going "get over it". I am going to be as big a pain in your ass as possible! Why? Because the right wing is destroying the country. What are you guys gonna do, throw me in jail? You have to catch me first. And there are a lot of people just like me.....

But it is not because your team is doing such great things for the country -- it is because you have a machine (infrastructure and a movement) that you have been building for 15 years now -- how else could such a miserable failure of a President win an election to a second term? With the entire Christian Right, Falwell, Robertson, Faux, Rush Hannity, O'Rielly, Sinclair, Swiftvets, The War and hundreds of local right-wingnut talking heads in every radio market repeating the same talking points day after day, you would have won in a landslide if Bush was not an idiot.! Yet it was still only Bush: 286 Kerry: 252 in the electoral college -- that's only 100,000 votes in a single state! + 3 seats in the House and +4 seats in the Senate is it -- You guys should have done way better than that given the GOP machine.

The truth is you would have lost across the board had the Christian right not got out to vote against fags! (You know as well as I that is exactly what happened.)

The best you can claim is that you eeked out a win for a complete failure of a President. Congratulations. I'll bet you're proud.

BTW, look at Bush's approval rating -- he is certainly not Mr. Popularity!

You can keep repeating your fantasy all you want, but you have to have a bigger section of the population with you to claim such a right-wing mandate.

Well, at least no one will accuse you of being too PC ;-)

BTW, the "Christian Right" as you call them, are American citizens and have as much a right to vote as you do. Are you actually complaining that they exercised their right to vote?
It kind of sounds that way?

One other point I think we disagree on, you basically stated the right has this "machine" to gets its message out. I know you like to accuse other people of being children, but you need to grow up on this one. BOTH SIDES have machines to get their message out, and I believe BOTH SIDES are getting their message out. The one difference is that more Amercans like the mesage from the right...

Oh, they have a right to vote. It does not make them any less nuts (which they are).

And, I think it is fair to say that the right has a much more powerful propaganda machine. That is why they can get so many biggots out to vote against John Kerry, the liberals and the Fags (I'm just using the biggoted terminology for effect). That is how they won. Just because people choose to vote based on biggotry, does not make it right. Don't forget, Hitler was elected by the people too.

gay marriage wasn't on the radar screen?  Actually, your hero Bill Clinton was the best thing that ever happened to center right politics and the 1994 mid term election proved that!

Why is it that you guys always assume we want to shut you up or throw you in jail?  Actually, I consider you guys our best promoters!  I want you loud and proud.  :-)  And of course whiney.

I thought they were both beating a path out of the country??

BTW, I DO want you to stay, as long as you remain
the MINORITY ;-)

lost presidential bid; lost seats in the house; lost seats in the senate; net loss of governorships = slight ass kicking. ;-)

... since that is how things work.  He will be nominated.  The Dems will make their points.  It will cost Mr Bush to keep support in congress.  The Dems will solidify.  there will be some GOP erosion.

Whatever happens, Hispanic political power will continue to grow.  It won't be united behind the GOP.  They are not so needy that they need Alberto to have at least one Hispanic face in the power eleter.
