One of the reasons the Second Amendment was created was to ensure there would be an armed populace capable of rising up against a government that had become tyrannical. That is precisely what the radical right in America has been saying for years when arguing against gun control laws.
And let's also not forget that one reason the Southern States wanted the Second Amendment was to make it legal for local militias made up of armed citizens to put down slave insurrections.

Not in the Federalist Papers, not in state constitutions, not anywhere. It simply doesn’t exist. It is nothing more than a leftist lie.
In fact, the word SLAVERY appears nowhere in the US Constitution.
The drafters had to resort to some fancy composing footwork to avoid mentioning the S-word:
Article !, section 2 : " ... three fifths of all other Persons."
Article 1, section 9: " ...Importation of such Persons as any of the States now existing shall think proper to admit ..." [this bans the importation of slaves after 1808, the prose is too clunky to repeat in its entirety.
Article 4, section 3, clause 3 : states are required to return slaves and indentured servants to the custody of those persons having the right to their labor, but the S-word in never used.
In fact, the first time the word slavery appears in the US constitution is in the 13th Amendment, which abolished it.
There is a tortured argument to be made that the slave-holding states, some of whom formed Slave Patrols as part of their state militias to capture escaped slaves, would require firearms to execute their mission. But it's a tortured argument at best.
