...it will result in the economy getting shittier, and as a result all the gun nuts will have to start selling their guns that they bought up two years ago.

Since I'm looking to buy a few more pieces, this means the prices will be cheaper. :)

...it's that the Dems won't do a damn thing to fix anything. They never fail to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

While political policies have some effect -- mostly for woe no matter which party -- overall the game is up. The economy will continue to get shittier for the average person either way.

Besides, with the Senate and White House in control of Democrats, if Democrats have the ideas that will truly improve the economy, they could implement a bunch of them.  For example, trade policy can be done without approval of the house.

The Fed action of yesterday should help in that regard, not to mention China being forced to allow their currency to trade up.

As we all know a weak dollar is good for exports, and the dollar is about to get very, very weak. lol China's reluctant captitulation about artificially keeping it's currency weak will also help allieviate some of the trade deficit.

Let's face it, none of us live in a vaccum anymore, not the US, not China, not the EU. We now have a "world economy" and like it or not, the rules have changed. We can either change with the times or become financially irrelevent. The same goes for us as individuals, we are still in charge of our own financial futures, we can either cry in our beer about how bad things are, or assess the current situation and make good decisions.
