I would love to see Kerry run with McCain.

These two men are close friends, and they share an intense dislike and lack of respect for Bush.  It is possible, that depending upon the degree to which Kerry agrees to share power with McCain, and the degree to which he makes a personal entreaty directly to McCain's patriotism, could influence McCain to accept such an offer.  What I HAVE heard is that Kerry's VP task team is in fact vetting McCain as rigorously as they are vetting the other potential VP candidates.  It might happen.  And then Dumbya is history.

Hey sdstud, I thought you said you weren't going to be on this politics board.  Oh well, I guess I should have known that it would be impossible for you to stay away.  Of course, you're preaching to the choir, but since you seem to have a pathological need to do that, feel free to do so.  Just be more civil than you were on the General Discussion board, and don't wish for anyone's death.  The world is better because of its diversity, and that includes diversity of opinion.

I agree, that the level of interest in this board surprised me, and so I did change my mind and chose to participate.  Call it my Flip Flop.  If Bush and Cheney can Flip Flop, as Puck has ably demonstrated that they have, I am certainly entitled to one as well.  You will notice that in the numerous posts that I have made here, I have taken the constructive criticism to heart as far as getting dragged down to the unfortunate level of discourse that I got involved with in the earlier discussions on the general BB.

You are certainly entitled to "Flip Flop," and yes, I have noticed that your responses on this board have been considerably more civil and restrained, although no less intelligent.  I was very happy to see your response to my post (admittedly, I was chiding you a little), and look forward to reading your future posts.  A good man will acknowledge a past mistake, and you are obviously a good man, sdstud.  Now, go out and get laid - it's a long way to the election!

On national radio (Sean Hannity), McCain just said he'd never run with Kerry.

He made it pretty clear that he wasn't interested and he supports Bush on Iraq. Words like "never" and "will not consider" came out. Addittionally, McCain said we have to win in Iraq, this is not like Vietnam (and he's deply offended by the comparisons). He does disagree with Bush on one point, McCain feels there needs to be increased forces in Iraq.

So, I guess if McCain did a "flip-flop" and joined Kerry, that would not help the Democrat cause.

I heard a clip of him saying something to the effect of

"I'll never become a Democrat"
