He fathered the child before he became Governor BUT the worker continued to work in their home for 20 years and retired in January. WOW talk about a slap in the face to Maria. It's no wonder she moved out of the house.

I was merely pointing out how the libs -- and the conservatives do it too about different matters -- always find a way to rationalize their political feelings and their judgments of various political leaders.

What they -- the former Governor of California and the former President of the U.S. -- do in their private lives should be only a matter of importance to their families.

Of course, Gov. Schwarzenegger wasn't Governor when his particular poor choice occurred and he wasn't in his government office when the deed occurred.

But, that is old news and was a discussion point at a distant time . . . . . .

But if the kid is grown up then she had to know. Arnold has some strong genes.

What I don't get with cheating spouses is the lack of condom use. But that's just me and my logical brain. LOL

It forever affects everyone in your family, and now a child - who is completely innocent - has to live with your bad choices.

Not saying a wife isn't hurt, but she is an adult and can manage if need be.

He did marry into the Kennedy's after all.

Certainly the behavior might be consistent with the Kennedys of yesteryear but at least they did it in a time when the News cycle was not so instant and expedient with all the different forms that we have today. In this day in age, if you step out people know well before your refractory period is over. At least in JFK's day you didn't know until two years later. Hell even in Clinton's day you didn't know until at least six to eight months later. The moral of the story is if you get a little something something you just might end up with nothing.

I can see how this is newsworthy, in the Paris Hilton, Brittany Spears type of news, but I see no relevence to his politics.

So again I ask, just how is this a "slap in the face" to California voters?  I could name hundreds of politicians that cheated on their wives, from both parties. Virtually every married guy on this board is cheating on his wife, do they deserve the same disdain?

No Matt, I think you are the one guilty of hypocrisy, and don't even try to claim that I would have a different attitude if the "Terminator" was a Dem, I defy you to find a single post of mine slamming a politician of either party for his sexual behavior. It's just not fucking relevant.

and are you claiming that the Kennedy have somehow cleaned up their act? I doubt it. They will be back in the news again, for some drunken, ill advised escapade, just like they always do. It's just a matter of time.

someone running for public office has behaved in such a way that, in the opinion of some voters, disqualifies him from holding that office; meaning they would not vote for him if they knew, and he hides it, and perhaps even uses bribery and coercion to hide it, I imagine that those voters would call that a slap in the face. Oh, and just to move this beyond personal opinion, I have spoken to a number of people, here in California, who do see it as a slap in the face; meaning, they are embarrassed that they even voted for him.

Arnold ain't a governor no more, so this is celebrity gossip. It's no more news worthy than Britney Spears pussy being caught on camera. I'm just sayin...

Why is this a liberal vs. conservative or Dem. vs. Rep. issue?  Why do you think "libs" are -- or will be -- the ones to jump all over Ah-nold?  Sounds like you're looking hard for a political issue here.  So Ah-nold's technically a Republcan?  So what?  He was really a RINO and not loved by, or  representative of, most Republicans.  I really doubt liberals will slam him any more than others.  As a Democrat myself, I thought Arnie did a pretty decent job trying to run an ungovernable state.

The official announcement comes just a few hours after Schwarzenegger said he was putting all his future acting gigs in a holding pattern.

A rep for the animated project -- Arnold's first after leaving office -- tells TMZ, "In light of recent events, A Squared Entertainment, POW, Stan Lee Comics, and Archie Comics, have chosen to not go forward with the Governator project."

The rep would not specify if the project is completely dead or just postponed until Arnold's personal issues blow over.

One potential problem was the show's plot ... Arnold's character was supposed to fight crime with the help of his wife Maria and their four kids.
