The powers that have created and influenced the very hypocrisies within the parties seem to have also orchestrated a macro-ideological flip flop of both parties in the last 20+ years. This along with engineering the electoral system to where a "third party" can NEVER hope to be "viable" has turned the elections into little more than a very expensive "Next American Idol" where despite the call-in, text messaged, online popular vote the Network's executives will ultimately choose the winner.
