Before you complain blindly, it might be a real good idea to RTFM, ie wikipedia the subject AND all of its predecessor links. BEcause it's all the history. It's all there.

The "increase" in posting activity is due to me ALLOWING the ugly underbelly of this board to get some sun! You're just seeing it for the first time! Hence your complaint "quantity v/s quality"... Plus, obviously the banter between jacko an I have increased the length of threads a great deal as well... So if you want to be self-decieved about censorship on this board, that's your business, but when you try to propagate that lie to everyone else, then it becomes my business!
As to the lack of meaningful or serious posts... Instead of bitching about mack-believe censorship, why don't you try posting something discussion-worthy?? (of course if all you want to do is sit around and bitch about the moderator, you're free to do that as well... This board will only become what you make it....)
However, this is a "moderated forum" and has some rules that I am required to loosely enforce, so I'm sure sooner or later I will have to moderate somebody, and probably pull down some posts, but you can save your censorship rant for that day... When that day comes, I'll tell ya!

Ben, your problem as a moderator is that you are committed to a particular ideology that does not admit or discuss any fact except in biblical terms, and that was closed to discussion about 2000 years ago. No new input since then.
As a result, you are basically unprepared to deal with anything less than 2000 years old. You're going to see quantum mechanics and steam engines thru the prism of scripture, which is about as useful as, well, the Koran - which incidentally is a few hundred years newer.
Hence, you will eventually dismiss ANYTHING you don't understand as "misinformation".
That's not a good way for any person with their hand on the wheel to be. It's so incredibly irresponsible that it's a matter of morality.

Now in response to my alledged misinformation campaign. I based my opinion on your moderation style on the fact: you censored my post when I offered constructive criticism on Bush's leadership style. It was in response to "BILLKILE's" tirade on a post down below under "Bush against Webb" Zinval. I have also attempted to post messages critical of Israel.
However, you allow a lot of vitriolic name-calling on these posts. Yes, I do think your moderation of "JackO" was heavy handed and was done with the intent of silencing him.
Now "JackO" and I have volleyed back-in-forth on subjects such as Vietnam and President Nixon and yes he gets a little crass, but I be more worried if he was apathetic or if his voice was silenced.
Now if you excuse me let me get back to the ARMY vs. NAVY game.

Wikipedia vs "real books": Ben, do you not realize that EVERY document is hearsay and presumably unreliable unless (a) you're also talking to the author, or (b) it's got the county seal on it?
Wikipedia is unique in that it allows instant cross-examination; and has the function of providing a comprehensive consensus by ANYBODY interested in the subject, AND links to most other sources. The real point of Wikip is that it's BASIC source that you have no excuse for avoiding.
Real books: You take your chances with an expert. He could be way right, or way wrong, or some mix that you don't know about. Peer review journals and encyclopedias do the SAME THING as Wikipedia by review committees, but of course you don't know that, and dismiss real books anyway except as they are scripture.
