Democrats are only complaining now because they realize it hurts the Harris campaign. Before this dawned on them they thought tampons in boy’s bathrooms were a fabulous idea.

So let’s see what The Patch has to say. What is The Patch? It’s a Saint Paul newspaper. Not connected with the Trump campaign. Unlike CNN, which is working directly on behalf of the Harris campaign.

http://patch.com/minnesota/saintpaul/what-know-gov-tim-walzs-controversial-tampon-bill

From the article:

“What To Know About Gov. Tim Walz's Controversial Tampon Bill

Tampons, pads, and other menstrual products must be stocked free of charge in Minnesota's public schools.

ST. PAUL, MN — Democrat Tim Walz's selection as Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate has brought national attention and criticism to the bills he's signed into law as Minnesota's governor.

Some of the most progressive laws in Minnesota's history were passed in the last two years, during the period when Democrats held a trifecta in the state government.

Among those laws is one that requires public schools in Minnesota to stock menstrual products in all girls and boys bathrooms at no charge to students. The bill went into effect Jan. 1.

The products, which include pads and tampons, must be available in restrooms "regularly" used by students in grades 4 to 12.

The state will supply the funding for the tampons with "$2 times the adjusted pupil units of the school district for the school year," the law states.

Rep. Sandra Feist, a Democrat from New Brighton who pioneered the measure, said in January that the associated cost of the measure would be a "wise investment" because it would keep students from missing school due to "period poverty."

"One out of every 10 menstruating youth miss school during their menstruating cycle due to lack of access to menstrual products and resources," Feist said in a House Education Finance Committee hearing.

A Republican-backed amendment to add the word "female" to the bill failed in committee. "Not all students who menstruate are female," Feist said, persuading committee members to vote "no" on the amendment.

Feist said some schools have gender-neutral bathrooms. She acknowledged that female students use menstruation products more often, but said it is still important to have them in all bathrooms.”

So much for CNN’s “fact check”.

Nothing in your article contradicts what was in the CNN article. Not one thing. What the CNN article did that this didn’t do is dive deeper. They interviewed the schools to learn more. The schools all said they did not stock these in all boys shared bathrooms because that’s not what the law stated, nor what they understood the intended purpose to be. Rather, as the law states, they needed to be available in regularly used, not all, bathrooms. And to that extent they are stocked them in single use bathrooms. No one has to use these single use bathrooms where they are stocked. And god forbid someone does use them who doesn’t want a tampon. The travesty. Maybe go back and read the CNN article before dumping on it, claiming they work for Harris, and then posting your own article that disputes nothing from the CNN article.

http://www.politifact.com/factchecks/2024/aug/13/jesse-watters/claim-that-gov-tim-walz-forced-schools-to-stock-ta/
o In 2023, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz signed a law that requires schools provide access to menstrual products in bathrooms regularly used by students in grades 4 to 12.
.
o The law does not distinguish by sex or gender, saying period products "must be available to all menstruating students."
.
o A legal expert from Period Law, a group that advocates for making menstrual products free, said the bill would allow schools to provide period products in boys’ bathrooms, but it does not mandate the products be provided there. A school that provides products in girls’ rooms and all gender bathrooms, for example, would be in compliance.
.
"... As written the law does not require products to be put in men’s restrooms," said Lacey Gero, director of government relations at the Alliance for Period Supplies, a nonprofit organization. "The law leaves it up to the local school districts to create a plan for providing products in restrooms, but does not specify which restrooms." ...
.
"Our ruling: Watters said, "Walz forced schools to stock tampons in boys’ bathrooms."
.
"Legal experts said the law, which Watters pointed to as proof of his claim, does not specify that tampons must be provided in boys’ bathrooms. The statement contains an element of truth but ignores critical facts that would give a different impression. ***We rate it Mostly False."***
.
So much for willy's REPETITION OF MAGA FALSEHOODS.

I already knew what it was going to say. It was going to be a giant apology piece to weasel out of the fact that Tampon Tim put tampons in boys restrooms in public schools. They can weasel weasel weasel but it doesn’t change the facts. They put tampons in boys restrooms. When a Republican tried to add an amendment to make it just the girls bathrooms they weaseled out of it, denied the amendment and went full woketard and put tampons in the boys bathrooms. Just to be perfectly clear: Tampon Tim put tampons in the boys bathrooms. That’s what he did. He signed a law putting tampons in boys bathrooms. Before he signed the law there were no tampons in boys bathrooms. After he signed the law there were. Tampon Tim put tampons in the boys bathrooms.

…that a Republican amendment for the bill specified that the tampons would only go into the girls bathrooms, but that amendment was shot down. So the point still stands. Tampon Tim put tampons in the boys bathrooms. You can weasel weasel weasel all you want, but that’s still what he did.

Never go full woketard. It might cost you the Presidency. In this case woketard means tampon tard.

Nope. This is the essence of all Democrat “fact checks”. It goes like this: “well, Tommy said…” or “Well my baby daddy said…” or “my neighbor said…”

Who gives a fuck what they said. The law is the law. Minnesota passed a law putting tampons in boys bathrooms. There was a Republican amendment to keep them in the girls bathrooms only and Democrats voted that amendment down.

So the point still stands. Tampon Tim put tampons in the boys bathrooms.

The bill requires that each school provide free period products in the school. Each school decides which bathrooms get the dispensers: one, some, all. The placement decision is entirely at the discretion of the school (as long as it meets or exceeds the minimum requirement).
.
I have worked in some very old buildings originally built with mostly Mens Bathrooms and few or no Womens BRs. At some point (60s? 70s? 80s?), some M BRs were converted to W BRs (urinals replaced with stalls or converted to flower pots). I worked in an area with a converted W BR. During the day, men would take a long walk to the nearest M BR. At night or on weekends, when there were few or no W around, we would just use the W BR. Although there were fewer W, some of them would, reciprocally, use the closest M BR on nights or weekends. (No one wanted to make 9-to-5 secretaries or prudish men uncomfortable so M and W took the hike to the "correct" BR during the day.)
.
Starting in the 90s, I have visited places (commercial office buildings, warehouses, public buildings (libraries, City Halls, etc.), even supermarkets, etc.) with gender neutral BRs. Today, many of those BRs have dispensers for free tampons and pads. In the past 20+ years, I am unaware of any men having a heart attack or psychotic episode upon seeing a tampon dispenser in the BR.

The lies you tell yourself so you can believe the fake news machine created by Trump. A single use gender neutral bathroom is not a girls bathroom or a boys bathroom. This is where they were put to make access available to anyone. They were not put in the boy's bathroom. Nothing in the law required it. And the shooting down of your stupid law didn't mean they would all of the sudden put them in boy's bathrooms. You are just choosing to infer it becuase it supports your fake news narrative. When you are proven dead wrong and you argue so poorly, it just makes all of your credibility with any of your other arguments meaningless. You need to know when you are wrong if you want to be taken seriously.

School admin MAY put a dispenser in a Boys Bathroom but they do not have to do so. If they have a gender neutral BR with period products, they do not have to put them in the Boys BR. It is at the discretion of the school admin.

NO school has actually put tampons in ANY Boys Bathroom.
Which raises the question, why is Wanker in such a hissy-fit over this?
We know the answer. Because he wants to blame Walz for anything imaginable.

The bottom line here is Willy does not care about the actual truth. He just cares about his stance and he will make shit up to defend his stance. He has bottomed out at zero credibility because of his inability to reason.

News agencies have begun surveying the schools. The most recent results, from Friday (yesterday) were that 15 of 25 school districts reported have NOT put tampons in ANY B BRs ... and that included the two most populous school districts.

15 out of 25? There’s something like 300 school districts in Minnesota.

…that putting tampons in boys bathrooms isn’t happening because they’re putting in the trans bathrooms. Like that’s better. Tampon Tim put trans bathrooms in his public schools. And then stuffed them with tampons. Meanwhile you see Tampon Tim walk around on stage like he’s Richard Simmons on crack. Dude is fruitier than a San Francisco parade.
