Red States are “Welfare Queen” States

Happily, the Tax Foundation — a conservative Washington-based think tank — has, however unintentionally, provided the answer. In 2007, the foundation published a survey of 2005 federal spending in each state and compared that with each state’s contribution in federal taxes. In other words, the foundation identified the states that sponge off the federal government and those that subsidize it. The welfare-queen states and the responsible, producing states, as it were.

The list, alas, hasn’t been updated — in part, no doubt, because conservatives didn’t like what it revealed: that those states that got more back from our government than they paid in were overwhelmingly Republican.

The 10 biggest net recipients of taxpayers’ largess were, in order, New Mexico, Mississippi, Alaska, Louisiana, West Virginia, North Dakota, Alabama, South Dakota, Kentucky and Virginia. The 10 states that paid in the most and got back the least were New Jersey, Nevada, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Illinois, Delaware, California, New York and Colorado.

Jon Stewart: Romney's Own Dad Wouldn't Vote for Him

Jon Stewart weighed in on Mitt Romney's 47% controversy last night—or, as he described it, Romney "talking to rich people about poorer people in a manner you would imagine cartoon rich people talk about cartoon poorer people." The first problem with Romney's position: Almost two-thirds of the people who don't pay income taxes do pay payroll taxes—"meaning," Stewart explained, "they workin', they just ain't workin' hard enough." But more importantly, Stewart has some evidence that welfare isn't "a path to dependency"—evidence that hits Romney very close to home. Namely, an interview with Romney's mom talking about Romney's dad, who was on welfare for years but rose to wealth because "this great country gave him opportunities."

"Oh my god," Stewart said. "George Romney was on welfare, so according to Mitt Romney's own logic, Mitt Romney could not win the vote … of his dad." Also last night, Stewart interviewed Salman Rushdie, whose Satanic Verses once sparked Muslim protests. Stewart brought up the current protests against the Innocence of Muslims, wondering, "Is it like watching the sequel to a terrible movie that you were involved in, and now obviously you're happy it's starring a different actor?" "Yes," Rushdie answered, "except it's got an asshole in the central role." He added that the filmmaker's right to free speech must be defended, but he's still "a jerk."

Life must be  rough when a ninth grade drop out noticed the flagrant fallacies  in your biased  assumptions .
Reading your lead in was enough to tell me your link must be  a waste of time , so I didn't waste mine  .

Don't worry I'm not singling you out , we all have weaknesses  ,
       I have difficulties with  Math .  :-D

There are no Red State Blue State divisions in this country .
It is part of the brain washing by BOTH sides of the media , miserable bloggers , and people who never learned how or desire to get along .

Below is a link to an interactive map showing the percentage of voters for President Obama and Governor Romney.
Treating this like Olympic judging and my special rules ,I will throw out the  top High percentage State from both the winner and loser,  and States not on the mainland  are sunk .

66.92 % in Vermont for winner President Obama and 33.80 % for the loser .

Note to slow Floridians , not all of you :  Vermont is one of the dark red  states in the top right corner , that would be NNE  from Florida if you sail back and forth  from your Cayman Estate . If you sail by auto pilot ask your Captain which direction you are heading , like you usually do  .

On the losing  side ,  Utah 72.69% for Governor Romney {go figure} and President Obama 24.91 %

If you think you are ready for tenth grade , lets study together ,  help me out with a link showing the breakdown of political demographics among welfare recipients in your so called Red States . I have no  need to see racial numbers , I know millions more more Whites are lazy and on the dole , generally speaking Hispanics and Asians work the longest hours and the hardest , with Pacific Asians most intelligent by far,  or maybe  they grew up more  structured and  study more diligently , while watching less TV than white man .

In the map below the red and blue media  colors are reversed , who knows why , maybe to test our  attention , or perhaps the state color coordinator is also a clothing designer .
If you  keep that tie long enough it's bound to eventually be the new vogue .

Move your mouse to any State and read  the percentages . Look how many States were close  to 50 /50 , though Obama clearly beat the loser  by millions  .

I will patiently wait for your link with my request without holding my breath .
I will tell you my opinion before you supply the link .
There are close  to an equal amount of Democrat and Republican,  lazy , unproductive workers and an equal amount on the Dole , no reference to color , creed , or sex .

All I see are different shades of purple States  . :-D
