I always wondered if Obama is proposing these cuts just because he knows with a security that the GOP will never back tax increases,especially on the 1% and that as long as they refuse he doesn't actually have to cut entitlements at all.In fact,he can say I tried and point the finger at a GOP whose getting a worse public reputation by the day and the GOP always chose to avoid the deadlines of automatic cuts to gov't services a number of times because they know they would get decimated by public opinion as to who would be blamed.

What do you do when we have an across the board tax increase? Remember the 1% can aford the it. Obama negotiates from right of center, we will end paying more taxes, and receiving less benefits

thats about the size of it, rather than cutting pork projects. In all seriousness both cuts and tax increases, mainly on the %1 and large corporations, need to happen. I dont have children but feel sorry for the ones of us who do, many tough choices need to be made and I'm not sure theres a single politician in Washington willing to do it.
