After January 20th, and all of Trump's guys were out of a job, Biden COULD have hired a few of his guys to help his team set up the Trump evacuation plan, but they didn't want to do anything that even looked like Trump knew how to do it and the Biden administration didn't. When I went for Desert Storm, yes, I was there for about three months before the actual campaign started, but as you say, because you read it somewhere, it was just a few days to push them back into Iraq and recapture the Kuwaiti oil fields, and then I was there another 4 months before it was time to come home. Its not like we were sitting around, there was equipment to secure and prepare for transport, so we were still busy AFTER WE WON. Biden leaves Afghanistan a Loser. We knew about the bombings to soften the targets. The bombers would fly over us coming and going. When in a combat area, your perception of the campaign often depends on what part you played. Obviously, those in armor or artillery battalions may see the ground war differently than those of us in infantry battalions. I was called up and deployed as a reservist. By then, I was no longer active duty. I remember that just about all of us were pissed off at the cease fire. We wanted to keep advancing right into Baghdad. Thank you for the cut and paste.
