I have no doubt, Main street  left wing media will spin the blame to  Trump for anything and everything they can conjure up, regardless when it started.

Over 30% of car owners are underwater in their loans.

18% of car owners have subprime loans on their vehicle.
Over six million of them are 90 days or more behind on their payments.

"GM is in trouble because it has misjudged future sales, built up large inventories, and because of these laid off workers"
"GM laid off 1,300 workers last month all inside the Detroit city limits"

My father taught me if you have to finance a car for longer than 3 years then you are buying too much car. This rule has served me well, but then for me a vehicle is nothing more than a method of safely getting from point A to point B. I hold cars for 10 years or longer. Car repairs in general are far cheaper than the monthly payment. The trigger for me is when the car is in the shop too often for my own threshold of nuisance or it cannot be repaired to a safe condition.  Vehicles have gotten more reliable and rust less so maybe I should revise my rule.

OF COURSE the libs will blame Trump.

The same way the libs tried to blame Bush and his "policies" for wrecking the economy, although any astute observer knows that the recession was caused in large part by the subprime mortgage meltdown, which Bubba caused by pressuring lenders into making loans to people in the late 90's who otherwise couldn't afford them

I have no problem with buying gas and oil, but once they need new tires and or brakes, it's time for a new car.

It's kind of like women, they are more than welcome to come over and stay a while, but the moment they need a change of clothes, it's time for them to go home. lol

That Bush must have had some supernatural powers! He told people to spend money they didn't have so they cashed out their mortgages to do so!! And how would you know anything about equity anyway? Does the accountant for the church share the books with you?

because that's the stupidest thing I ever heard anyone say about tires. Hey if you want to trade your M6 in after 10,000 miles have at it. Plus you won't have to change the oil.

Tires last about 40,000 miles these days.  But keep enjoying driving your Model A.
Most likely you weren't born at all, but simply excreted.
