If you live here you are automatically "subject of the USA."

all the way to Seattle to find a liberal enough judge to block Trump's executive order affecting birth-right citizenship for illegals.   They got a temporary injunction.  if it becomes permanent after 30 days, it's appealable to the 9th circuit, which is also a shitload of Leftie Judges.  Probably won't get reversed until it gets to the Supremes.

I suppose since we’re all anonymous, CDL doesn’t mind looking like an idiot.

The liberal judge four blue states went all the way to Seattle to find has been a federal judge since 1981 when he was appointed by RINO Ronald Reagan.

Why would the Supreme Court reverse it? Just cuz?

I predict 6-3 or 5-4 no reversal

If he had ANY knowledge, he wouldn’t post the stupid shit he does every…single…time.

durran421 is so stupid he doesn’t even realize that HE is a troll while calling everyone else trolls.  Just like his post above, he posts nothing of substance but merely attacks other posters.  THAT is the classic definition of a troll.

start their adulthood as Liberals and change over time to Conservatives.  Why do you assume just because Reagan appointed this judge 40 years ago when he was a conservative that he could not possibly have switched to a Liberal?  The States could have gone to any venue in the United States to get this TRO heard.  Why do you think they chose Seattle?

Simply because the judge is in Seattle, YOU assume he’s a liberal.  What evidence do you have other than his geographic location?

Congress ought to rule in on this. But the 14th Amendment is pretty clear.

"All persons born or naturalized in the United States, AND SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION THEREOF, are citizens of the United States"

If you're a foreign subject, and represented by a foreign country, then you're not a US citizen, even if you're born here. If the King of Norway has a child while on vacation in Vegas, you don't get to rob that child of his natural Norwegian citizenship.

Congress should rule on this and take the issue up with the Supreme Court.

But Congress can’t “rule” on the Constitution either.  Congress can propose a Constitutional amendment and then it has to be approved by 3/4 of the states.

The Supreme Court is the final “decider” when it comes to interpreting what the Constitution says.  There have been cases about the Fourteenth Amendment going all the way back to 1898.

As for the King of Norway, he can shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not be prosecuted for murder because he has diplomatic immunity.

Trump LIED HIS ASS OFF when he claimed the U.S. is the only country that has birthright citizenship.  At least 30 countries also have birthright citizenship.

…is that it would give the Courts more meat to chew on than just a Presidential decree.

First of all, I post insightful comments and start non provoking threads all the time. On the PR board, general board and regional boards.

You on the other hand........ troll.

You obviously forgot the real definition. I happen to have it handy.

"In slang, a troll is a person who posts deliberately offensive or provocative messages online[1] (such as in social media, a newsgroup, a forum, a chat room, an online video game) or who performs similar behaviors in real life. The methods and motivations of trolls can range from benign to sadistic. These messages can be inflammatory, insincere, digressive,[2] extraneous, or off-topic, and may have the intent of provoking others into displaying emotional responses,[3] or manipulating others' perception, thus acting as a bully or a provocateur. The behavior is typically for the troll's amusement......"

That's BigP ...EVERY SINGLE NIGHT. Not a single person here will delay that's ALL you big boy. Go look in the mirror chump.

The Executive Branch issued an order and it is being challenged in the courts.  Eventually it will wend its way to the Supreme Court and that will be that.

And how, pray tell, do the words "AND SUBJECT TO THE JURISDICTION THEREOF" disqualify anybody? A newborn is obviously subject to said jurisdiction if she/he is resident here.

The 14th Amendment has two tiers that must be met for natural citizenship.

1) being born here
2) being subject of the USA.

If you’re a subject of a foreign country, then you’re not an American.

Yes, someone can sometimes become a dual citizen. If a German moves to the USA and becomes naturalized and gets US citizenship, that’s fine and if Germany allows it, they shouldn’t have to give up their German citizenship. But if that person has offspring in the USA, they shouldn’t get automatic US citizenship, particularly if it would rob their offspring of their German citizenship.

Because you live within the US and are subject to its laws. Whatever country your parents come from has no authority in this country or over you. This has been before every court in the US, including the Supreme Court, since the 14th Amendment was passed. You may not like it but it's the law.
