... sometimes when we get older, the mind starts to forget things. One of the things you forget is that Mr Reagan's camp was almost certainly doing a little private talking with the "enemy" in Iran before they took office.
Further, you did not listen to Mr Kerry and are taking his words out of context. Global concesus was defined (by Kerry in the debate) as the ability to explain to the American People and the World why we are taking the action we are taking and being able to back it up with facts and proof. Today (if the polls are correct) a significant majority of people in the US wouldn't believe Mr Bush about a foreign policy claim based only on his word.
Mr Bush could have fixed this if he admitted an error and kicked some ass. He did not, and he will pay for it. To take a poker analogy, he did not throw in his hand when he was beat on the board and save himself to fight another hand. He is going to pay for it.
