Let me preface this by letting you know that I am a 6 year veteran and  I spent time in Iraq in the first Gulf War. There is no  doubt that John McCain is a patriot and a great American. However, Why hasn't anyone questioned his mental health. How can anyone be a prisoner of war a, be tortured for several years and NOT have any mental scars from their ordeal.  McCain has a history of anger issues. I am not saying he isn't a hero  and a great American because he is but do you really want to give a guy with that kind of history  and psychological baggage access to the button. Imagine John McCain having talks with North Korean leader Kim Jong-il and having a flashback and flipping out....... It could happen...    This is a very valid concern and an issue that has not been looked at.

and you have to question the judgment of a fellow who would do a world record 180 flip-flop to endorse the failing Bush policies lock, stock and barrel.

People can kvetch all they want about the original wisdom of the Iraqi invasion, but that is a done deal, and now nothing but an example of the amazing Bush stupidity and mendacity.

What has to be questioned now is whether we want to continue the same policy of (1) government secrecy regarding any possible goals or basic information, (2) no apparant goal whatever, which equates to a plan for defeat - soldiers cannot accomplish an objective until one is ordered; and (3) gross, massive, Guinness Book of World Record mismanagement of defense contracting, and indeed the entire fucking war.  

How could you POSSIBLY fuck it up worse than failing to have a goal?   Well, you could piss away money in shiploads of Bens, and lie to the public about the entire mess.   Damned convenient to claim that it's all the fault of the people who have the least control - it's really lucky for the Republicans that we have Mexicans - so we can go down to Home Depot, grab a couple and waterboard them until they confess to being bin Laden brothers who conspired to wreck the US economy.

We have to get a Democrat in here, a few houseboys and maids, to clean up the Republican shit.

First of all I said nothing of him being "Deranged" McCain may have surpressed alot of the emotions that he would have to have towards his captors. The question is what if those emotions are triggerd...who knows what will be the trigger. If McCain had such "mental strength and strong will" he would not loose control as often as he does.
