The Final Polling Map.

So when I started doing the maps, I was just using 538. So for the final map, I used
1) Only 538
2) Only the most recent poll was used.
3) Each state has listed the margin a candidate has. As in "T+5" or "H+5"
4) The date of when the most recent poll was published is also listed.

Several states had no polling at all on 538. These states were left tan. One state, Nevada, had the last poll marked as Even, and is colored purple.

Come Election Day tomorrow, let's see how closely the results match up to 538. What do you guys think? Will the results closely match this map? Or will the results be wildly off?

Harris wins, for she will surely take Hawaii and DC, which gives her 270.

I paid attention to various polling sites throughout this campaign. And one thing I expected to see was various polling sites include every poll that comes along. But that is hardly the case. 538 will include some polls, and exclude others.

Early on I included polls that showed Kennedy winning. Robert had a field day with that. But I was just reporting the Zogby polls that 538 published. Zogby polled Trump vs Kennedy and Kennedy vs Biden as well as Trump vs Biden. But 538 didn’t publish the later. I didn’t even know that poll existed until I found it on The Hill website.

So 538, which is owned by ABC News, picks and chooses which polls to publish and which ones to ignore. Why do they do this? What’s their rationale?

Other sites do the same thing, but as far as I can tell, no one does it to the level that 538 does. Real Clear Polling averages out numerous polls, which is how a meta analysis is done. The averages, it is hoped, smooths out statistical errors. However what we have here is something quite extreme. 538 if taken on the face of it, has Harris just a hair from winning the election. RCP, on the other hand, has Trump solidly winning.

Which one is correct?

Two months ago I mentioned the Time Traveling Money Printer hypothesis.

The simplest way to describe this concept, is that the MSM intentionally lies in order to sell true information at a premium to elites. It’s the news acting as insider trading.

Does 538, which is owned by ABC, prop up Democrats to make them look more popular than they really are in order to get more campaign dollars into Democrat campaigns which then is spent by the campaign to produce ads that airs on ABC News which ABC profits from?

What do you think ABC values more? Journalist integrity and telling the public the truth, or making more money by lying to the public?

Tomorrow’s results may be quite illuminating.

Dixville Notch split with 3 for Trump and 3 for Harris.  In 2020 it was 5 for Biden.  In 2016 it was 4 for Hillary and 2 for Trump.

Pennsylvania Democrat Senate candidate Bob Casey's final ad aligns himself with Trump's trade policies and doesn't mention Harris or Biden.  He's been distancing himself from Biden/Harris for several weeks.
