Sometimes, it's OK to acknowledge that someone steps on a rake and laugh about it regardless of how invested you may be in Orange Man Bad. According to Grok, Durbin is one of the most active in congress fighting for better regulations trying to control AI image manipulation.
The issue is that people are doctoring photos and trying to pass them off as real. Be it media or politicians. They "glam" up or down them. Joe Rogan as called them ou back during COVID. They did it to his pictures. Now with AI it is getting worse.
Also politicians have been falling for this crap. Doesn't matter the side of the isle your on....both sides have been doing it. You can't trust media or many of these elected officials.
It is why I have said it for years....get your media from the left, right, and independents.....then use what is between your ears to make a decision...... btw not sure if it is legit....but the un doctored photo the guy has a mask on. So why "hide" his identity. Again not sure if that was real or not.

The photo may have been a bad move from Durbin. It has created more uproar over the wrong issue: not Pretti's execution. I don't care if the guy threw a brick at an ICE truck a week before he was murdered. Hell, I don't care if he literally murdered an ICE agent a week before his own murder... That's not how our Justice system works.

Like I said multiple things can be true on this situation. Yes he was murdered or killed and it wasn't deserved. But you can't ignore other facts that happened. This man wasn't just an "innocent" choir boy. He was an agitator. He has fought with ICE past and the present when he got killed. He didn't comply with orders and interfered. Etc
Then on the other hand.....ICE agents didn't communicate with finding and securing the gun. ICE agents put everyone in danger when they shot ( shitty training and not following protocol), the one ice agents stance shows he was scared shitless and literally jumped the gun. Should they face charges......so far by what we know.... YES.
Bur facts remain that if the individual didn't do the things he did he would be alive too. Then I have brought up the laws/rules about CC in MN. The evidence shows he didn't follow those rules/laws/responsibility of CC permit holders. Yeah the shit he actually has done would get your permit revoked. They are good for 5 years and can be revoked.
That is what is sad right now is people can't step back and look at things with an clear head. Immediately it is political or they want to point fingers and not take any responsibility. It is always someone else's fault for things. Again he didn't deserve to die or be shot. But his actions can't be ignored.
