You have to hand it to the anti-white male crowd. They have the power of the media and they're not afraid to use it. It is almost impossible to imagine a more obvious insult to American white men then the display that aired before last Monday Night's football game.

As a promotion for ABC's newest sleazy program "Desperate Housewives," a short pre-recorded segment preceded the game. The intro showed an actress from the series, white, blond, Nicollette Sheridan wearing only a towel and provocatively asking a black Philadelphia Eagles receiver, Terrell Owens, to skip the game for her as the two stood alone in a locker room. He agrees (surprise!). She then drops the towel and jumps into Owens' arms.

Monday Night Football is the most popular network program during weeknights for white men. So all those white men had the distinct displeasure of seeing an attractive white female throw herself at a black athlete. As an additional bonus this display was done when their children were watching too. Imagine the confusing messages sent to children that were watching, all of them objectionable. A) Sex with a stranger. B) Sex in a public place. C) Interracial sex.

It is no secret that men of one race are uncomfortable, often to the point of violence, at seeing women of their own race, (especially attractive ones) as objects of sexual desire for males of another race. Recently a group of black athletes from Oregon State University severely beat a white man who was dancing with his wife (a black woman) at a local dance club. This type of violence occurs often and by males of all races.

There are probably few feelings experienced by men as natural as the desire to protect females of their own family/race/tribe. It is normal. For all of human existence survival of a group or tribe was dependent on healthy females raising their genetic offspring. The worst possible thing that could happen to a group was to have a male from another group steal or breed with their women. The last 50 or so years have seen a complete breakdown of this basic evolutionary survival ethic.

Not so long ago this type of thing was illegal. Today white men are not only supposed to turn a blind eye to this type of activity they are apparently supposed to cheer it on! It just seems so distasteful; a beautiful white woman that possesses all of the classic virtues of white attractiveness coming on to someone that looks like, well, basically a completely different type of human.

I mean you cannot be blind to the fact that black men like Terrell Owens posses an appearance that is radically different from that of a typical white person. The facial structure, the hair, nearly everything about him is so different. If you changed the color of his skin to white and left everything the same you would have a profoundly unattractive white man by anyone's standards. Are we to accept because his skin is brown that he suddenly becomes more handsome? How could that be?

I would suspect that about 80% of men feel uncomfortable at the sight of mixed race couples, about the same percent that would feel uncomfortable at the sight of homosexual couples. And for the same reason. It is unnatural and wrong.

In the US we have evolved a society of freedoms such that unpopular or even perverted behavior, if committed by adults in private, is allowed. However that same behavior in public is rightfully prohibited. So one should be able to condemn such ugly public displays, if not outlaw them, but that outlet is not allowed. Any derogatory comment to an interracial couple in public will subject one to possible "hate crime" charges. So even the possibility of using public scorn to discourage wrongful behavior is no longer allowed.

Interestingly enough the only high profile football personality to address the racial implications of this issue was Tony Dungy, the black head coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Dungy found it racially offensive. "To me that's the first thing I thought of as an African-American, I think it's stereotypical in looking at the players, and on the heels of the Kobe Bryant incident I think it's very insensitive."

Kobe Bryant? Actually that white woman got off light, she was just raped. What about O.J.'s wife, Nicole Simpson? What about any of the other thousands of white woman that are raped and/or killed by black men and black athletes annually? Not to mention the many thousands whose lives are ruined by relationships with black men in the same way black women's lives are ruined. Fatherless children, sexual and physical abuse, sexually transmitted diseases. There are many reasons why it is not a good idea to jump naked into a Terrell Owens arms.

A mini-uproar has ensued over the incident. The NFL has condemned the skit. Many people have complained about the sexual content being inappropriate (but not the racial content). Some other fans have chimed in to suggest the NFL is being hypocritical in that the NFL promotes sexual activity with scantily dressed cheerleaders and frequent commercials for "erectile disfunction" medication.

However there is a significant difference in just admiring a woman and in having sex with her. Ask your wife or girlfriend if she thinks there is any difference in you looking at a pretty woman or having sex with her. Most women can explain the difference to their men in fairly clear terms. Also note that Cialis, Levitra, and Viagra commercials always feature use of the drug in the context of a committed relationship. It is also doubtful that commercials of a medical nature will have much of an effect on children while a dramatic scene in a locker room will.

If you want to irritate white men, Terrel Owens is a perfect figure to show defiling a white woman. He is the worst type of black superstar on the market today. Owens is a trash talking malcontent, a malignancy on any team he plays for. He cries and whines. It is all about him and his personal goals, never the team. He has been involved in a running feud with an ex-teammate, QB Jeff Garcia. Owens felt he didn't get enough passes thrown his way when they played together, even though he put up excellent numbers each year. He has resorted to the childish tactic of accusing Garcia of being a homosexual even though it appears obvious he is not. Garcia it seems is getting better white women then Owens, as he had a supermodel and a beauty queen fight over him at a nightclub recently.

"Desperate Housewives" is a new ABC series that has raised the sleaze factor another notch. The major networks, realizing they are losing audience to cable, are trying to challenge cable shows like "Sex in the City," an unrealistic look at the sexual exploits of several women whose behavior can politely be called slutty. Women that have had as much promiscuous sex as the women on "Sex in the City" or "Desperate Housewives" should be avoided. That much intimate contact with similarly loose men can only lead to a host of diseases.

You might also figure that black men, especially the young urban males that make up the bulk of professional football and basketball players, should instead get a message of showing a little self control. After all, a demographic that has record levels of syphilis and AIDS should perhaps be a little careful about naked women throwing themselves at them. Perhaps HIV+ Magic Johnson should have been cast in this little advertisement, it would have sent a much better message to the Terrell Owens and Nicollette Sheridans of the world.
