I'm sure he triggered a shit storm (perhaps a bipartisan agreement) on both sides.

Nobody is against citizenship as long as it's achieved LEGALLY. Trump's proposal is reasonable and brings both sides of the aisle to the table. It's a start.

a fairly bipartisan deal on illegal immigration. 1.5 million illegals is fairly good deal for the liberal cause (whatever that is?).

Liberally, I think it's a better chance of Rosie O'Donnell marrying Obama with Trump as the best man though.
