Kilmeade made the comment during a discussion on Wednesday’s edition of “Fox and Friends” about the murder of 23-year-old Iryna Zarutska, a case that has become a flashpoint for Republicans and President Trump’s efforts to crack down on crime.
After Fox host Lawrence Jones said of the homeless population “a lot of them don’t want to take the programs or get the help that is necessary, you can’t give them a choice. Either you take the resources that we’re gonna give you, or you’re going to be locked up in jail.”
“Or involuntary lethal injection,” Kilmeade responded. “Just kill ’em.”
On Sunday, Kilmeade apologized on air for the remark.
“In the morning, we were discussing the murder of Iryna Zarutska in Charlotte, North Carolina and how to stop these kinds of attacks by homeless, mentally ill assailants, including institutionalizing or jailing such people so they cannot attack again,” he said. “Now during that discussion, I wrongly said they should get lethal injections. I apologize for that extremely callous remark.”
The morning show and radio host said he is “obviously aware that not all mentally ill, homeless people act as the perpetrator did in North Carolina and that so many homeless people deserve our empathy and compassion.”
Kilmeade is a leading host on Fox and has been with the network since the late 1990s.

This is the fucking Twilight Zone we're living in now. MSNBC fired a contributor for saying Kirk was "divisive", this host on Fox straight up said homeless people and people with mental illnesses should be put to death, and noone batted an eye really. I had to look at that clip multiple times to make sure I wasn't hearing things or what the context of it was. I looked at a longer clip to see if maybe they were talking about something else and he just so happened to double back to that. As of Sunday morning he apologized, and it still remains to be seen what, if anything Fox News will do. My guess is they will do nothing.

In the grand scheme of things I think if you believe in God, the hypocrisy MAGA shows is being revealed on a day to day, almost hourly basis. God will always bring things to light, and put them on display. And although I am not a church goer or a Bible thumper, I believe that common sense is uncommon. I was surprised when MSNBC fired Matt Dowd over his opinion about CK's right-wing speech content. Dowd was not attacking CK personally nor calling for his demise, just opposing his extreme values. I'm as liberal as they come and I didn't think this was a "hanging offense". In fact I didn't think it was offense at all. Dowd is a principled conservative Republican, and I always welcomed his perspective. I think MSNBC management should reconsider their ill-advised decision.
I noticed in today world, free speech in under assault. I'm seeing alot of the media carefully report on the trump administration. They can't be too critical because of fear of a backlash from the FCC, in some fashion be it a frivolous law suits or maybe having their licence come under review. Think of CBS merger..how that go. Lawsuit on 60 Minutes, ABC and there's more. Look at how the White House morning briefing are handled, most are friendly outlets to the trump administration with alot of softball questions. They even allow right wring pod-casters in to ask questions.
