...Court Justice David Prosser gets 7,500 more votes after losing his re-election bid (pending a recount) by a mere 200 votes out of 1.4 million.

Why is this a big deal? Prosser is a conservative who would vote in a 4-3 majority to uphold Gov. Walker's union-busting law.

...and by county clerk Kathy Nickolaus' own admission, this is unprecedented. I would further note that county clerks are political positions.

I would further note that she was involved in a corruption probe.

She has also been sited for lax security in her job, such as sharing passwords freely, and saving election results on her personal computer.

Ramona Kitzinger, the Democrat on the Waukesha County board of canvass, appeared at a press conference with Ms. Nickolaus on Thursday and backed up the clerk.

We went over everything and made sure all the numbers jibed up and they did. Those numbers jibed up, and we’re satisfied they’re correct,” adding that she was a Democrat.

Who knows if they will not find more for JoAnne Kloppenburg in other counties  but she was sure dumb to declare victory with  an unofficial count  ,especially in Wisconsin :)

A judge is a purely political position.  The liberal will vote for the liberal  position and the conservative will vote for the conservative position.  Letter of the law be damned.  Why bother with the legislative body?
