Wiki leaks is making it harder for the State Dept. to continue a policy that would harm every American and harm this country. We already know that war crimes have been committed in this war.

A nation has the right to protect it's secrets. But not when they engage in a policy that is harmful to their citizens, and not when there's evidence of criminal wrong doing.

Assange and this PFC should both be rewarded the Nobel Peace Prize instead of stalked with death from above.

Some people don't get it. A lowly PFC walks out of the State Department with 2.5 million very sensitive diplomatic cables. I had to go an Arizona State Office building just yesterday. Damn near had to strip to get past the detectors. Security out the ass. And a PFC walks out with 2.5 million cables. Wonder if he borrowed a dolly to wheel them out to car. PFC, probably had to load them on a public bus. Oh yea, I know, probably had them on an electronic media device. What would that be 30, 50 memory sticks.

In free world, people take pride in freedom of press, freedom of speech ... they tend to think governments should not hold back any secrets from the public.

player. The person responsible for the leaks is not Julian Assange and the Wiki leaks team but the management at the State Department. Since the leaks involved diplomatic cables and such within the State Department, Madame Secretary Hillary Clinton should be held directly accountable. The management system including the security protocols, to everything that goes on within the Department, is on all on her. It's on Madame Secretary Clinton to ensure confidential correspondences remain confidential. Unless, of course her boss, overrules her.

You see Priapus, if a company, or organization wants to keep a secret they keep a secret. I have friends who worked with top secret clearances and forty years after their service they are still keeping their secrets. It's how they were trained. Cynically what I have learned, the government will tell you, what they want you to know. I suspect, either Clinton or Obama wanted the information to get out. I am not accusing either of them of the leaks, but they did allow it. Come on, this is second time high level documents within the US government, the last being the Iraq War correspondences etc. have been transmitted by "Wiki leaks". Each time, these events occur, high level officials, Clinton, Gates, the President et al, sternly object to the leaks, promise to get to the bottom of the misdeeds, and nothing gets done.

Once is enough; twice and these occurrences, go from being coincidental to being a correlation.
