It was written in text-speak, with some bad spelling and grammar, as is to be expected from someone 21-25.  This post was described by a well-known, well-respected, intelligent hobbyist as "ghetto trash shit."  The only reason for this description is that the hobbyist could look at the poster's profile and see that she is African American.

Yes, there is no more racism in America because Obama was elected twice.  Sure.

to post like a retard, but I don't. Most of the providers I know at that age are not like her. She is obviously a ghetto project.

So what should we do? Say "It's fine to act retarded" because it is politically correct to say so?

She asked a question and she obviously didn't like the answers. That's her problem, and obviously yours too.

...more lucidly than 'Back_In_Black' yet I never heard you or anyone else refer to him as "ghetto."  Why?  Because he's a guy or because you think he's not African American?  b gd bro.

Can't we critisize people
for what they do and look
past race....?

Or is it always a racist
thing when black americans
are critiqued on what they do...

There is nothing racist
in saying "Ghetto trash".

Even if she spelled everything
out properly, she still comes
across as having an attitude,
and to me it comes across
as a defiant ghetto attitude...
regardless of her race...

I agree.  I posted on that thread and, until I went on her site, I didn't know what the color of her skin was.  Text speak isn't "ghetto" it's the way lots of people communicate using smart phones.  I saw no racial signature in her OP nor in the responses to it.  They were flaming her for sounding like an idiot.  Not for sounding "ghetto."  I chose to treat her respectfully anyway.

that is not there. This is a typical liberal ploy just like the rotten MSM likes to play out.

So fucking what if she is called ghetto? Why do you care? She's a street urchin. Go give her that bleeding liberal hug.

I guess when you need to try and defend some babbling tween whose gutter (as in ghetto) trash shit on a public board was slammed...YOU needed to bring up she is AA?  Who the fuck cares what color she is?  I guess YOU did...moron!

YOU, more than most, know that I don't have a bigoted bone in my body.  But yet YOU had to try and make this hookers insane babble credible because it was now a racial attack  :(

And I had no clue what color she was till YOU pointed it out.  What I did know is that she should really consider finishing up middle school and then HS...or get that GED.  Race isn't the issue jackass...being a stupid person is the issue.

And stupid doesn't care what color you are.

The dumb ass hooker didn't like the replies...most of which were "comical" and lighthearted to begin with.  But as she decided that the old fucks here are not who she cares about, then the gloves came off.

Race...sure, if it makes you sleep better BigP.  But you have no fucking clue!!

it still warrants being called out as "ghetto trash"

I saw the post in the morning and had NO CLUE that she was AA until you pointed it out.

Being afraid to call ghetto English, ghetto just because she is AA, is being coward..

Which of course is way down on the PC list from racist, but she was the one who started the attacks. I was like you, the only time I realized she was black was when I wanted to compare her looks to Rasha, which of course there was no comparison.

but like I said over on GD, you can't disagree with anyone of color without some dumb white dude calling you a racist.

and can anyone really deny that she certainly is an argumentative cunt? She has just started round two of "fuck you guys, I don't need you anyhow", just like a thousand dumb hookers before her, most of them white, not that color is relevant. Stupid is certainly colorblind.

And she slammed CPA down hard on that one...telling me that I didn't have any...note ANY effect on her whatsoever.

Guess it must have been BigP convincing her with his suave and debonnaire style that got her off the schneid.

Yep...she sure showed me a thing or two.  Maybe she can convince me that she isn't a completely hopeless hooker  LOL

BTW...that thread is now closed  :D

it had everything to do about race, and was funny to boot. Only if a white man had said it he would have been tar and feathered by the PC crowd.

I am going to try and give you the benefit of the doubt and pretend you responded to the wrong post, because your response and GWOTD's post had absolutely nothing in common.

The poster was complaining about how a black person can say something negative about black people, when a white person can't get away with it, without being called out by the PC police. What I was saying is, it is a common group dynamic; one who is a member of a group can talk disparagingly about the group or members in it to someone who is a non-member, however if the non-member does so, or chimes in in agreement with the member, the non-member is often attacked by the member. The group can be based on race, on family, on citizenship, on armed services, etc., etc., etc. In this case the group is based on race. But, again the group dynamic is not limited to race. So, I was just pointing out how silly it sounds for the poster to whine about what happened in the example he gave.

not that I necessarily agree with your position, but at least I now have a clue as to at least what you meant. Well actually I do mainly agree with your logic, it's the same point I've been trying to beat in your your bird brain friends head for months.  When you are an accepted member of the family, for lack of a better analogy, you can say things that others can't It's the reason I can say things in the company of black people that already accept me for who I am that would get a white guy like Daffy his ass handed to him. The point is, I am one of them, or at least accepted as one, and Laffy is not. He freely admits he doesn't know how to act, I OTOH don't have to ask how to act, these are the people I grew up with, I don't have to ask them how to treat them.

I know Daffy will never get my meaning, I am hoping you are smart enough to understand what I am trying to say.

A person can be, what I call, 'adopted' into a group, and thus have the same privileges as the other members; but it comes from being congruent (what you see is what you get), while also communicating respect for the group. At least, that's been my experience.

have you ever noticed there are some comedians, white guys that can use the same material as their black counterparts without ever being called a racist? and then there's the likes of Michael Richards who gets heckled by a couple of black guys, uses the "n" word and gets forever labeled as a racist.

Some people get it, some people don't. Michael Richards and Daffy are two that don't. I grew up with people of color, Black, White, Brown, Yellow and Red. I spend a good deal of my time with people who barely speak English, and I guarantee you I can get away with a lot more with "those people" than a lily white guy like Daffy, but somehow he sees me as the racist. Go Figure.

Some white guys can get accepted by people of color, others will always be outsiders. The PC crowd will always be outsiders. Even if they are tolerated and their behavior is encouraged by people of colored, the PC crowd will never be accepted as "part of the family" Walking on eggshells around someone is proof positive they think you are "different" which is the very foundation of racism.

Just out of curiosity, do you understand and/or agree with my point here?

I moved between a small town in the Midwest and L.A. as a kid. Quite the culture shock moving from an all white rural school to schools in L.A. where being white meant you were in the minority. Can't count the number of fights is was in. My dad was pretty much a racist, however my grandfather, even though he was a Scot, was a carpenter and really relished cultural diversity he experienced with his co-workers. He was always getting and trying new recipes from his co-workers, who were of various races, cultures and nationalities. He was an immigrant himself, so he wasn't very judgmental about other immigrants. And, he drank and fought with people of all colors. He brought me to many of his favorite haunts (bars and taverns), where I met many of his acquaintances, and listened to them talk, and sign, and sometimes fight. I guess I took after my granddad, though my dad has become less and less racist as he's gotten older, because he outgrew his fears.

My experience is, if you are afraid of someone, whether it's because of their race or something else, they imagine that you perceive them as being monstrous, and often, if one is treated that way, they do become monstrous; meaning angry, aggressive, combative, etc. And, or, if you treat them like you have to be careful not to hurt their feelings, they perceive you as seeing them as being inferior, weaker than yourself.

I saw a good show recently called "Last Man Standing." Tim Allen plays a real Republican bigot, while his wife the PC Democrat. They invite the only black family, in their neighborhood, over for dinner, and the black husband is a Marine and just as bigoted, and can dish it back at Tim Allen's character. Meanwhile everything the white wife says is in trepidation out of fear of offending them, end's up doing just that. The husband's end up, not friends, but seeing eye to eye and respecting each other. It was hilarious.
