A bit defensive are we ?

I was refering to Hart.  Not saying ALL R's are racists - However, the fact that a racist would seek the Republican ticket certainly doesn't lend much credence to your claim of Dr. King's support (there is a reason good ole Hart would be encouraged to go Republican).

That you go around saying such crap is in the spirit of G.W. Bush Jr - Especially your claims of victory (``Mission Accomplished'').

I guess at your age, every day is a victory.

“I feel this coming election is the most important one in which I have ever voted, for its impact on America, our children & the generations to come. So, I plan to share info w/my friends & neighbors.”

This is what you wrote. I agree with you whole-heartedly. My only concern is that there is no real choice here, no candidate that is for possibility.

A vote for either Bush or Kerry is actually one in the same. My question for you Veronica is what would you like to see happen in our country? Really? Forget the political players. What is it that you want to see occur here is the U.S.?

Better schools?
Cleaner air?

What?

Gandhi and Dr. king both started out at average human beings. They were not different from you and I, but they had one thing that made them amazing. First was that they both had a dream or saw the possibility. Then they made a declaration. Gandhi said that India will be free. Dr. King said that all people will be treated equal. Then they enrolled others by sharing that declaration. They were un-reasonable in their pursuit of their future.

Think about it. If you lived in the south as a black man then, would you have believed the changes that have occurred? If you were an Indian surf prior to independence would you have said it was reasonable that India would be free? NO!!!!

Change is a function of making the same thing different. Possibility is creating something new from nothing.

I am not interested in what Bush or Kerry has to say, because they are peddling the same thing as something different. I am interested in what possibility you are interested in creating? How will you create un-reasonable possibility for the world? What declaration will you make?

That is why it was called the Declaration of Independence. They so believed in what they were declaring they put up their lives, fortunes and most importantly their sacred word. Read it, it is all there just above their signatures. See what they created?

So if you are still stuck in wanting to tell me about Kerry or Bush. I get it. If you want to send me more information about your candidate, great, I get it. If you want to open a dialog and enroll me in your possibility, I will be here in a powerful way. I am inviting you to touch, move and inspire me.

I make the same offer to all here on this board. Touch, move and inspire me with your possibility.

My e-mail is [email protected]

reality is that the R's & D's control this country.

Until this isn't the case, even a vote for the lesser of two evil's is important.  Remember that on 11/2.

The Grand Old Party is gonna be a lot more substantive at their convention than the Democrats were at theirs.

I just watched Kerry give a speech on CSPANN- nothing but empty statements and then slamming Bush.  How John Kerry, how are you going to make America better?   He never answers, he just slams Bush's character.

Remember, watch the Republican convention cause you'll wanna vote republican up and down the entire ticket come first Tuesday in November.

P.S.  Ronald Reagan had a really cool dream.  Also, the Republicans believe in Martin Luther King's dream more than the Democrats do.  Martin Luther King would be a Republican if he were alive today.

You speaking for Dr. King is the funniest thing I have heard today.  Oh, that's rich.  Tee hee.

So, the compassionate Republicans believe in Dr. King's dream more than the Democrats.  Is that why there is a blatant racist on THEIR ticket ??????

Give me a fuckin break - Nowadays, when its raining I just assume its piss and don't look up.

I guess Jesus is a Republican as well (Oh, wait, Bush is Jesus Jr. - I forgot, sorry).

John Kerry just got interview b*tch slapped by Jon Stewart-A COMEDIAN!!
W is gonna give him a whuppin in the debates IF KERRY HAS THE BALLS TO SHOW UP!!!!  heheWWHHOOOOWWWAAAAA

Hehe  The only people who wont b*tch slap Kerry will be Chris Matthews, Jane Pauley, Katie Couric, Maureen Dowd and George Stephonopholis.  Two weeks ago, George Stephonophonis b*tch slapped him without even meaning to!!  The interviews wont even be real interviews cause they will have to go over every question with him before the interviews- to make sure he can answer the questions. Ha ha ha.  And I bet Kerry will still screw it up.

W's gonna carve him up like susi and lay him on Vietnam rice!!
If Bush pulls a Jack Kemp, I WILL ROLE OVER AND DIE.

P.S. Dick Cheney's no racist. He's a good man.

I would suggest that you ask Coretta Scott King's opinion first.

Did that stop gandhi?

R's and D's are not in control, money talks politicians walk.

Do I vote for the Devil I know or the one I don't?

How about instead of voting, I teach someone to read, and help them get a job that day? How about I teach my kids how to be responsible for their happiness? How about I trade in my BMW for a bicycle and use the money to pay for a childs immunizations? How about I take responsibility for how my actions effect others?

It only takes one to start a dialog.

They are only questions.

The British being installed in a foreign country that, ultimately, they were controlling with miliary rule is a lot different to a homegrown system that has two parties that give the appearance of covering the democratic spectrum enough that they would be impossible to unseat without someone charismatic and well-supported enough to do it with.  It is not impossible...but it sure isn't applicable right now.

As for the future...I agree, work for change, and think larger than your nuclear environment.
