"Simply stated, Saddam Hussein now has weapons of mass destruction," he said. "There is no doubt that he is amassing them to use against our friends, against our allies and against us.

"Saddam Hussein's regime represents a grave threat to America and our allies, including our vital ally, Israel. For more than two decades, Saddam Hussein has sought weapons of mass destruction through every available means. We know that he has chemical and biological weapons. He has already used them against his neighbors and his own people, and is trying to build more. We know that he is doing everything he can to build nuclear weapons, and we know that each day he gets closer to achieving that goal."
Senator John Edwards (D-NC), October 10, 2002

also, 1992 was prior to the following;

1.   The attempted assassination of a U.S. President.  That alone is worthy of an all out congressional declaration of war, not a wimpy million dollar smart bomb hit.

2.   The several bombings against U.S. interests that preceded 9/11.

3.   9/11

4.   Over a decade of nearly useless U.N. monitoring/inspecting/sanctions et al.

   Do you not consider any of the above enough to steer one to a differing opinion??

    After the routing of the Iraqi army and republican gaurd in Gulf War Won, Bush Sr. held off on going into Bagdad against the will of nearly 70% of the American public, General Schwartzkof (sp?) and many other military leaders.  Why?  CW dictated that in addition to a power vacuum that would be created in the middle east, the possible house-to-house urban fighting could take a heavy toll on our GI's AND the U.N. mandate was to expel Saddamn from Kuwait, not to TKO saddamn.

 In hindsight, we should have and given the chance considering the failure and impotence of the UN, Bush1 probably would turn the clock back and finish the job.

So, what is wrong with my previous post?  That you simply don't like what it said?  Was what I have written incorrect?  Are you out of other things to say?

that you are not one of the people that is running around with blinders on.

We all know (well most of us anyways) that ALL politicians lie to further their career.
