He may be too rough to be the obvious politician, and while I like that too, he might default to Richardson.
One of the strengths of the Democrats is that they are all the cats and dogs, and if Obama or any of his hires can organize that, he can draw on a lot of skills.
I suspect obama might want to put together a campaign team of people like Richardson, webb, and even Hillary and Mccain, to make it clear there are roles for all Americans who have a lick of sense, and don't spend their time worrying about dipshit, or ranting about kaffiyehs in dunkin donuts, or talking about executing other americans to intimidate them, or sending the neighbors' boys to war to fulfill biblical prophecies.
Some good could come of this, if for no other reason than already we're so far in the hole that random movement is more likely to be up, than down.
