a way to give his favorite last words, "You're fired".

It keeps Romney in the political light, and as someone who might challenge Trump in 2020. It keeps his name out there...Or is this something to appease the "Establishment"...I dunno about this one.

could be our Donald wants them to lead our new elite death squads..

He just wants him to twist slowly in the wind until he tells him to fuck off. It's called payback.  Trump lives for it.

Hillary was criticized during the campaign for embracing the late Robert Byrd, who had been a member of the KKK.  He changed. People change.  So while I don't like what Sessions said back then, I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt, as does anyone the President Elect wants as part of his team.
My advice to the Dems (not that they're interested, LOL) is to question sharply but let Trump have the team he wants and to save their ammo for blocking any right-to-lifer to the Supreme Court.

But WB doesn't ever let the facts get in the way of smears and lies.

As for Sessions, he is ALLEGED to say what the lib media is quoting he said. There is zero corroborating evidence and Sessions denies it or has said they were said in jest and taken totally out of context.

So how about we look at his ACTIONS rather than his jokes or denials.

He voted in favor of Eric Holder for AG.

He prosecuted and convicted numerous KKK members and sought and got the death penalty for one who killed an African-American child.

Session was such a huge Rosa Parks fan he called successfully for her to be given the Congressional gold medal and has spoken about Ms. Parks bravery on many occasions on the Senate floor.

Now Jake, does that sound like a racist to you? You are a fair guy so that is rhetorical.

And remember it is now precedent, thanks to your jackass party, to go nuclear and the Dems won't have the votes to block anyone Trump nominates for Scotus.

But that won't tip the court on abortion as Scalia was pro-life.

You have just demonstrated your complete lack of understanding of the rules of the Senate.  Ever heard of a thing called a "filibuster?"  Were you aware it takes 60 votes to invoke "cloture" and end a filibuster for a SCOTUS nominee?  Did you know the Reps will have only 51 votes (or 52 when the LA runoff is done)?
So their only option is to go "nuclear" and end the Senate rule re the filibuster.  Will they do it?  I've predicted they will but several senior Rep Senators, including Orin Hatch have said no.  And it only takes a few.  So don't bet on any extreme right-to-lifers making the cut.
I'm sure you are relieved to hear that.
Now please make sure to attend the next session of "How a bill becomes a law 101" at JDU.
PS: "SCOTUS" is an acronym and should be written in all caps.  Even that dunce GaGa knows that.

I was talking about the Dems have already gone nuclear, which would give the Reps cover if they decide to do same for Scotus (fuck you, I will acronym how i want) and they would have no choice if D's filibustered every nominee.

The Reps are saying no NOW, but if Dems will filibuster every pick, the Orin Hatch's of the world will fold. And since the nominee is replacing Scalia, he most certainly will be very pro-life. Its the next Scotus nominee that will be the big issue on abortion, not this one.

So stop being a dick with your dumbass grammar points and your insipid and factually incorrect comments about my filibuster knowledge. lol

Go take a nap. You are overdue. :)

I stand by what I wrote. Now please calm down.  You're starting to hyperventilate like that cranky old fucktard, Grant.

This is going to be a contentious four years, if it lasts that long. Pretending to get along is more dangerous not getting along. It's like pretending to be in love. You can't argue that that works very well.

It applies to SC justices and to all legislation.
Filibuster does not apply to legislative bills that fall under the reconciliation rules. These are budgetary bills that have already passed both chambers. The bill can still be amended though before the simple majority vote takes place. I think the last modification to the rule required the bill also contain some sort of deficit reduction. Obamacare was eventually passed under the reconciliation rules. If Obamacare can be made to pass with a simple majority almost any bill containing taxes and spending can too.

But change doesn't happen overnight to anyone. If you believe in dramatic events that cause sinners to see the light and turn things around just in the nick of time to save the day, you ought to skedaddle down to Hollywood.

If people are forced to look at themselves for years on end and come to realize they keep reaping bitter harvests because of their ways, little by little they might alter their lives. And yes, the KKK has permeated our society, but they must never be allowed to become a normal part of it.

If someone is hoping to change the hearts of bad people, starting with old white bigots ain't a great starting point. There are easier jobs among the young. Old bigots will die out a lot faster than they'll change. The point is to keep them from infecting the next generation as much as possible. Yes, they teach their kids to hate and like that, but we ought to try to keep them out of office and usher them back to small town beer joints to finish their days away from decent society.

....tell them he's considering them, do a quick head fake and then tell them to fuck off....
