This should make US and its people feel like "biggest Jack asses" in the world.   For decades rest of the world knows Pakistan is the state sponsor of terrorism not only in India but UK, Europe and yes USA.

Your trusted President Bush made Pakistan, a terrorist country, main ally and partner for USA to fight terrorism!   How many $billions in cash and military equipment have you guys given to Pakistan?   You know who controls this money and equipment?

ISI, its intelligence agency.   For GOD's sake, they fund, train and equip Taliban to fight US troops in Afghanistan while protecting Bin Laden and his partners in a safe haven in Pakistan!!!   I'm sure he is watching CNN & FOX in his home laughing and drinking looking at you guys.

Now if you guys don't think you are just plain "jack asses", then Webster and Oxford should change the meaning of these words.

By the way, why did Bush invade Afghanistan?

To start at the end, he invaded Afghanastan because a group that was based there, sent a few planes to kill a couple thousand Americans.  They had training camps there and were going to send more grads to do more  of the same.

Of course, instead of invading, he could have asked for sanctions for 10 years, and then have the world complain we were starving children.  That seemed to work for a decade in another place.  

Or he could have written a really angry letter to the NY Times about how it's not nice to kill people.

As to the Pakis.  The world is made of hard choices.  We sided with Big Time Butcher Stalin in WW II because there was someone who was actually worse.  But FDR and Stalin needed each other, so they joined forces to fight someone who was a greater threat.

Yes, the Pakis are not exactly a model democracy like Boston.  But it was a long road to Kabul, and we needed the next door neighbor who was not as bad.

Of course, you could have not dealt with the Pakis and set up base in Harfordshire and ferried stuff from there.

Yeah, Sometimes grown ups have to make some tough decisons between the lesser of two evils.

Nothing in the article disagreed with anything that I said.  Yes, bin Laden may be in PakiLand, but that doesn't have anything to do with the points I made.

Likewise, you raised several specific issues, which I specifically addressed.  And then you didn't respond to anything that I said.

As I said, Pakistan sucks.  But at the time we needed them.  

As for today, I would rather support the corrupt bastards, holding my nose, rather than risk the collapse of the current government with the possibliity of nukes falling into the hands of their opponents, who are even worse, if possible.

The collapse of the Pakistani regime, no matter how detestable they are, is simply not acceptable.

This is not the first or the last time the US, or any other country for that matter, has had to align themselves with less than savory characters.

BTW, I am sure you have noticed, our newest troll doesn't respond to specific issues. In typical troll fashion, he just continues to "fling feces" like a monkey in a cage.

The one thing I am sure we can agree upon is that "Ben" is a cunt. Whether or not he/she actually owns one.
