Palin is nutty enough to run, no doubt. Her "reality" show is nothing more than propaganda to improve her public image to grease her for a 2012 run. I'd be willing to bet that she'd love to run with Bachmann as her running mate.

But I have serious doubts Clinton will run. But if George Soros is any indication, it looks like someone might challenge Obama for the Democratic nomination.

Right now she has a pretty cushy gig -- she gets to basically be a figurehead and admired from afar by millions. She gets to be the darling of the middle-right. (Yes, I said the "middle right" because if she were truly right she'd wanna abolish welfare.)

The great thing about this gig ... is she gets adulation and money, and never has to take the blame for anything.

If she were sitting in the Oval Office -- she'd OWN the problems in America, just like Obama owns them now. She'd own Afghanistan, Iraq and our military presence in 130 countries. She'd own an actual unemployment rate near 15% when you count discouraged seekers whose benefits have run out. She'd own a housing market slump. She'd own an increasingly radicalized population as well as an immigration headache that Excedrin won't fix. And with a Republican Congress she would have NO EXCUSES for failure to turn it all around.

Being President HAS to pay less than she currently gets, plus comes with a lot of headaches and opportunities to be the one left holding the bag.

I can think of lots of reasons for her not to run.

So why would she do it?

I think the chances of her running are about 50/50. The Republican party would be a difficult sell with her as a canadiate. A V.P. for her would be difficult. Who in the party with any standing would be willing to run as her mate and a two woman ticket is a no go.

Real question is will Clinton run. The one who wears paints but not the male.

Btw, stupid people are often "afraid of nothing".
Keep in mind that morons are Palin's constituency.

I cannot emphasize this enough : potential GOP candidates like Romney & NJ gov Chris Christie have a LEGITIMATE chance of beating BHO; Palin would get her ass kicked in a Goldwater style landslide. Eeyorre's moronic cheerleading will lead to an automatic BHO re-election.

Maybe Chris Christe but, Romney no way. If you can't beat a tired and worn out McCain who can you beat. He is without a doubt the boringist, dry stuff shirt political hack going. And as far as I can tell the only thing he believes in is being a politician.

I think it will come down to whether or not she senses vulnerability in Obama as we near election season. I doubt she would show herself to not be a "team player" if she feels she has no chance, but if Obama's popularity numbers plummet like they very well might, she would run in a hearbeat.

The danger to her running against him and losing is keeping herself politically relevent to make a run in 2016. Sec of state is a high profile job that keeps her in the headlines, if Obama cans her for running against him, how does she keep herself in the spotlight?
