so chris matthews calls Palin profoundly stupid .......can always count on the dem apologistics to keep their cool.......wonder why the interest in her....she's not prez material...

I don't think anyone who has a TV show should call her "profoundly stupid."  Mathews needs to get a grip.  He's not on the P&R Board.  Hmmmm!!! Maybe he is!  xfean??? Now wouldn't THAT be fun!

"tingle" Mathews get up his leg is from the male politicians.....hummmmmm.....

Maybe there's a "closet" Chris Mathews needs to come out of.

"wonder why the interest in her....she's not prez material."

It's hard telling why he has such a boner for her. Could be just a schtick that he likes to play. Or, as Iniky suggested, he's out of control. But, it could be a third option. I'm reminded of an old Field & Stream article about fishing for Large-mouth bass. The author pointed out that there was a big difference in fishing for them vs. say, trout. With trout you had to be silent and quiet. But he, when fishing for large-mouths, would row out into the lake, in his steel row-boat, and start banging on it's side with a big cast-iron skillet, before starting to fish. Everyone else, in their boat, tried to get as far away from him, and as quickly, as possible, until they saw him reeling in his catch. You see, he understood that the large-mouth bass didn't bite just when they where hungry, but when they were riled up. Just saying, I think a lot of talk by political pundits, politicians, media personalities, etc. are meant to provoke a reaction. Palin's been pretty quiet lately! He may be raising a ruckus just to get her to bite. Even so, I don't think calling her profoundly stupid reflects well on him, personally.

I am sure on some level she (and her people/team), think that what people want to hear.

She's a pretty girl in the room and smart or not, pretty girls get attention. Sometimes the stupider they are or pretend to be, the more people love and pay attention to them. Case in point - Jessica Simpson. Sometimes, I forget her title is actually "singer" considering all the other stuff she's gotten into whether good at it or not.

I hate when girls play stupid, but I know acting like a smarty can get you in trouble too.

Damn it - being a woman is hard, but I get to have boobs, pussy and multiple orgasms sooo... DEAL!

While I haven't yet seen your uncovered boobs and pussy, I can at least say that I stood in close proximity to both (or should I say all three LOL) at a social function.  :-)  Now, about those multiple orgasms . . . . . . . .

Matthews shows his stupidity on a regular basis.

I used to like the guy.  That was before his "tingling" started and his viewpoints became all one-sided.

I usually spend my available TV viewing to ESPN, but last week I drew the line on MSL soccer. I ain't watching that shit. I just channel surfed between MSNBC, CNN and Fox. OK, I did stop by Telemundo. They have some great looking chicks on their latin soaps. Nevertheless, on MSNBC with Matthews, Maddow, Schulz and O'Donnell, it was 240 non-stop minutes of progressive liberal shit. I could actually stomach Maddow for a few minutes, but that fat fuck Schulz doesn't stop bitching and complaining. It's just a continuous onslaught.

Back to Telemundo for me.

and I can't stand MSNBC any more.  All they do is preach to the choir.  So fucking predictable.  Wish I could get BBC America or BBC World where I am.

You need to check out those Spanish channels. On Saturday mornings they have a ton of Spanish local car commercials, and always a half naked chica. One Saturday morning I had it on in my home office while doing some paperwork. My wife walks in and says, "I didn't know you understood Spanish, now turn that crap off you pig."

MSNBC doesn't offer any insight or analysis (with the rare exception of Chris Matthews every once in a while). They just bitch and attack and do an Olbermann impersonation.  They are all so pissed all the time.  Schulz looks like his head is about to explode.

I'm not much of an MSNBC fan since they took off Olbermann, but Maddow's show is always very informative. She uncovers stories that no one else in the American TV news biz does (investigative journalism! who knew that was possible?), all while being funny. She is quickly becoming one of the most influential people in the news biz.

Ask 50 people on the street if they know who Rachel Maddow is.  Maybe 15 or 20 at most will recognize the name.  And maybe 5 or 6 will actually give a shit about her.

Same with just about all of these talking heads on both sides.  O'Reilly, Hannity, Beck, Olbermann all have name recognition.  But none of them carrymuch influence.

You really think 30-40% of the general public have ever heard of Maddow? Its probably closer to 5%. The vast majority are blissfully unaware of her, or any of the talking heads except for perhaps the ultimate loudmouths, like Beck or Limbaugh. Even for them, the numbers are probably much lower than you'd think.

I really think they are closer to what you said.

I didn't know who the hell Maddow was until a few months ago when someone -- probably willy since he loves the condescending woman -- posted a link to one of her sermons.

You're right.  People know the name Beck because the frightened libs who hate him have put his name in the news a lot.   Same thing with Limbaugh.  His best PR agents are those that hate him.

of course Glen Beck already had a following of millions before I listened to him for the first time.

Given the choice between the two, I'd pick Beck, not because I in any way support him, I like him in the way I like Jerry Springer, just one of lifes guilty pleasures. lol

I will admit that whenever I listen to "left wing" radio, which I do on ocassion, it seems like every one of those listeners can recite every word that Glen Beck says, they must be his biggest fans, the ones that "love to hate him"

Rachel Maddow, earns a great big yawn, I honestly can't remember anything else about her, except that I found her unnattractive, boring, and not particularly bright.

When he speaks to the general public he lectures about civility and toning down the rhetoric.

Yet when he speaks to Unions and minority groups he ratchets up his MSNBC script.

If he TRULY wanted to ratchet down the rhetoric he would put a muzzle on the Ed Schultzs of the world and lead by example.
